"I work for a wide variety of clients and it’s a hugely varied role. One day I could be interviewing witnesses or meeting with clients; the next, analysing evidence or briefing team members and partners. I have also been involved in some very high-profile investigations."

Forensic

KPMG Forensic uses specialist accounting, investigation and business skills in assisting clients involved in commercial or regulatory disputes or in the investigation of fraud and impropriety. These services include expert witness (in a litigation and alternative dispute resolution context), fraud investigations, and regulatory and competition reviews. Due to the nature of the work, we often produce detailed reports for regulators, for use in courts, disciplinary or other legal forums.

The Forensic team consists of people from a wide variety of backgrounds, including audit, the police, the civil service, technology, research and the legal profession. We’re looking for people who are prepared to immerse themselves in their clients’ cultures, occasionally spending up to three or four months based out of office – something we find enables our people to truly understand the businesses of our clients.

Working in the team will mean getting involved in a broad range of projects, including:

• fraud investigations,
• helping resolve contentious regulatory issues,
• giving evidence in legal proceedings,
• analysing vast quantities of data,
• tracing assets,
• working with regulators.

We work with a range of clients, ranging from banks and financial institutions, government and regulatory bodies to family businesses and individuals. All of which can come under your remit.

Our aim is to have a clear Learning and Development curriculum to meet the varying specialists within Forensic. To this end, the Forensic Academy ELLP is a one-stop shop for all Learning and Development. On joining, you’ll be given your own Forensic Passport that will outline your Learning and Development for the first three years with the team. This will ensure you have a clear development plan, allowing you to fulfil your individual potential whilst building on the skills of the wider team.
