IT Advisory
KPMG's IT Advisory practice helps clients to identify, understand, measure and manage the business risks and value resulting from their growing dependence on IT. The team also helps clients to establish the right controls and security measures relevant to information systems and technology.
The IT Advisory practice across our UK, German, Swiss and Spanish member firms employs around 1,000 professional staff and generated revenue of over €198m in the year 2007/08.
Working in the IT Advisory team, your focus will be on business processes, plus network and processing environments. You’ll also concentrate on the communication of information within and between organisations, as well as the ways in which technology can improve or transform our clients' business systems.
You could also be helping clients to assess the value of potential IT investments and reduce the risk of potential business disasters through detailed analyses, network and system design, and recovery planning.
We work with both internal and external clients. For our external clients, IT is an enabler for many areas of the business and we deal with stakeholders from all areas of the ‘C-Level’, including the CIO, CFO, CEO and CRO.
IT not only underpins most areas of our clients’ businesses, but also our own business, so we provide support on technology issues for other KPMG service lines including Audit, Tax, Business Performance Services and Governance and Compliance.
Our IT Advisory professionals offer clients detailed IT knowledge combined with a vital understanding of the wider commercial implications. All our team members share common personal qualities: ambition, determination and the flexibility to address new challenges.
In IT Advisory we develop our people from both a professional and an IT technical skills perspective. We have developed career paths to encourage staff to consider specific training at each level and we have a talent programme which targets our leaders of the future.
