When Eryn joined KPMG, she was excited by the opportunity to step into a role that offered variety, learning, and exposure to many different industries. Starting her career in Audit, she quickly found herself working across sectors - from energy to defence to consumer goods - building experience through real‑world work. “What I enjoy most is the variety of businesses I get to work with,” she says. “It keeps you learning, moving and growing.”

As an Assistant Manager, Eryn helps organisations present clear, reliable financial information. Her role spans planning audits, assessing key processes and controls, coordinating with specialist teams (such as tax, IT and valuations), and bringing together insights from international components for group audits. She focuses on what matters most to stakeholders: transparency, robust controls and consistent reporting. Eryn also guides her teams through timelines, reviews and quality requirements to ensure a strong and well supported audit. ‘My role is about clarity and trust,’ she says. ‘We bring structure, ask the right questions and make sure the numbers stand up to scrutiny.

Beyond her day to day work, Eryn is passionate about social mobility. Having benefited from support earlier in her life, she now volunteers, mentors and serves as a trustee with the ICAS Foundation. At KPMG, she helped launch Scotland’s first Social Mobility Network, which went on to inspire similar initiatives across the wider firm. ‘I’ve seen the difference support can make,’ she says. ‘KPMG has encouraged me at every step, which has allowed me to give back in meaningful ways.’”

For Eryn, making the Difference means helping others see possibilities they may not have realised were open to them. She believes encouragement can shift someone’s confidence and direction in powerful ways. “If someone sees a future because you helped them picture it, that’s making the difference,” she reflects. “It’s about lifting people up as you grow.”
