The Client Assessment Team forms a key part of this process and sits within Q&RM (part of KBS), which is led by the Chief Risk Officer.  This team will also have a reporting line into the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).  KPMG’s Q&RM function is responsible for monitoring the firm’s and its individuals’ compliance with the firm’s professional risk management and quality control policies, procedures and guidance.  
The Client Assessment Team has both onshore and offshore delivery components and undertakes thorough client risk assessments (CRA) to help KPMG to appropriately identify, document and assess financial, reputational, money laundering and regulatory risks associated with its clients.  The CRA will include completion of AML KYC in line with the Money Laundering (Transfer of the Payer) Regulations 2017 and associated industry guidance.

The role involves using various systems such as SAP, Coupa P2P, and SAP Concur. You will be required to establish, maintain and influence contacts at all levels within the business as well as liaise with them over a wide range of issues, providing guidance and support to circa 16,000 Partners and staff as well as an independent offshore Accounts Payable processing team. The job holder is required to support the overall Finance team by conducting themselves in a professional manner, remaining highly proactive at all times with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities without a detrimental impact upon the team. The role would ideally suit someone who has confidence in their own ability, has strong analytical skills and enjoys problem solving. Over time the role may include rotation across all areas of Finance Operations. KPMG is seeking a Senior Privacy Counsel to sit within its Office of General Counsel. The Senior Privacy Counsel will advise the firm on all privacy matters, including the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the emerging EU AI Act.
