The role of the Cloud Enterprise Architect is to help the Firm deliver its business strategy through technology. This includes providing architecture support to the firm’s Infrastructure Transformation Portfolio and for the Data Centre Exit Programme.  They must therefore translate the business strategy into the equivalent technology strategy; challenge the business strategy based on emerging and future technology trends; help business Capabilities to design and govern their technology roadmap, i.e. a portfolio of technology transformation projects that deliver the business and technology strategies; influence business and technology stakeholders to adopt the right technology solutions; and escalate risks, issues and critical dependencies to the appropriate leaders as required to ensure the successful delivery of the strategy.

The role of the Business Process Architect is to significantly contribute towards efforts to improve, and create alignment between, the business and technology functions within KPMG to ensure that the Firm can execute its strategy and achieve its primary goals. The role of the SAP S/4 HANA Finance Enterprise Architect is to develop the UK Firm’s technology strategy for Finance and Engagement Management domain and translate this into a roadmap that determines our investment priorities and transformation portfolio. The technology strategy needs to promote a seamless, end-to-end customer and employee experience by enabling the efficient creation and modification of effective and reusable technology components. In particular, the strategy should promote the use of modern, Cloud-based technologies; support typical Finance use cases; challenge the business strategy based on emerging and future technology trends; and establish a catalogue that supports the reuse of new technology components, whilst targeting legacy applications and technology for decommissioning. The role should also help to execute and govern the strategy, by helping solution architects and projects to design solutions that are fit for purpose and conform to our standards and patterns.

Lead Digital Experience Analyst

Role Purpose

KPMG believes that the employee digital experience is essential to the success of the firm. The successful applicant for this role will be contributing to the firm’s increasing efforts towards our team’s core purpose: “(to) Ensure that anticipation of human behaviour leads and improves user experience within the firm”.        

Reporting into the Head of Digital Experiences, the role of a Lead Digital Experience Analyst is to ensure that both the internal KPMG UK Technology function and, where relevant, other functions, deliver an efficient, effective, and consistent employee experience across all touchpoints and at all stages of relevant employee journeys.

Our model is to start with the user experience and progress towards developing solutions with technology SMEs – however digital technology is at the heart of the KPMG UK colleague experience; therefore, an understanding of KPMG UK data and technology solutions is key to Experience success.

The Lead will perform the duties of a User Experience practitioner but will also be responsible for day-to-day oversight of UX activities of other team members across the UK, Bulgaria, and India. Over time the role is expected to grow to include management, training, and growth of team members.

Key Responsibilities              

  • Plan and deliver UX contributions to KPMG’s internal initiatives.
  • Elicit, collect, track, and analyse feedback and data, and suggest improvements based on the insights gathered.
  • Help to focus on generating value through its employee initiatives, with a clear performance and experience focus, ensuring that initiatives rapidly deliver value.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to support development of agile user stories and formal requirements.
  • Work closely with Digital Accessibility SMEs to ensure we meet our legal and ethical responsibilities for supporting colleagues with disabilities and long-term conditions.
  • Supporting and challenging Project Management SMEs to ensure that digital transformation projects are effectively scoped, managed & delivered on time, to budget and within agreed KPMG risk frameworks.
  • Promote the Digital Experience function in the firm.
  • Contribute to the firm’s Digital Experience strategy.
  • Oversight of larger UX initiatives, including work allocation, planning, and monitoring of junior UX Analysts.
  • Lead Digital Experience reviews of existing or proposed solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of understanding and applying KPMG EWT Digital Experience strategy and processes
  • A strong knowledge of the firm’s internal technology platforms, the resulting User Experience constraints, and strategies to maximise UX within these constraints.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing oversight over other UX SMEs work on internal EWT projects.
  • Maintain a high level of practical knowledge in the application of Human-Centred Design / User Experience (UX) methods including user research, service design, UI design and branding.
  • A strong knowledge of KPMG’s EWT technology development processes.
  • Domain experience in two or more of the following: finance & engagement management, HR, User Support, and learning technologies.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity at the beginning of projects, with ability to provide clarity of direction despite this.
  • Strong knowledge of Digital Accessibility and how EWT apply this to projects.

Desirable

  • Awareness of other value-driven approaches e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking, etc.

We are looking to recruit a senior individual to improve our technology resilience and recovery capabilities across the UK firm, including those supporting Cloud and on-prem infrastructure, applications and data. You will build and lead our Resilience & Recovery team, creating risk-based resilience and recovery strategies, plans and roadmaps for our technology; create and maintain failure scenarios to guide invocation and recovery across multiple teams; and periodically test recovery plans, ensuring that recovery targets, including Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs), can be met. This is a vital role that will help KPMG to identify, mitigate and manage significant risks in our technology estate.
