The Role

Deal Advisory Tax provides market leading services to both Financial and Corporate investors.  Whilst we have teams focused on clients in our three performance groups of Financial Services, Corporates and National Markets, we are a national and connected team, working and learning with each other.

• Financial Services:  We work with private equity, infrastructure, and real estate funds as well as institutional investors such as sovereign wealth funds and pension funds.  Our clients have UK, European and Global investment strategies.
• Corporates:  We work alongside some of the most forward-thinking FTSE 100 and 250 businesses, supporting them with strategic acquisitions, carve outs, de-mergers, disposals, and joint ventures both in the UK and cross-border.

KPMG is seeking a Senior Privacy Counsel to sit within its Office of General Counsel. The Senior Privacy Counsel will advise the firm on all privacy matters, including the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the emerging EU AI Act.

Our Financial Transformation practice is a priority area for significant and strategic growth and the team works with leading Insurance (Life and General) organisations, focusing on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their Finance & Risk functions. The key drivers of change for our Insurance clients are Regulatory and Accounting change (including UK SOX, IFRS17, SII), Cost Reduction and Non-Financial Reporting  Transformation and our service offerings reflect this demand.

The KPMG Audit Midlands function is a cornerstone of our business.  Operating from Birmingham and Nottingham we do work that matters, serving the region with diligence and expertise.
