We are a team of 100+ technologists providing technology enablement services and solutions across the Tax and Legal business. This business has 4,000 tax & legal professionals covering multiple disciplines. We serve many thousands of clients and private individuals by providing a modern, market-leading suite of technology solutions that provide an efficient digital experience from routine to complex tax advice depending on client’s situation.

The team is made up of Product Owners, Business Analysts, multi-disciplinary Engineering teams (approximate 150 Software, QA and Cloud Operations engineers) and IT Service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems used to improve productivity and solve key business problems across Tax & Legal. We also build cutting edge web portals for clients to interact with KPMG, maximising collaboration and ensuring seamless delivery of information to our clients.

The Role:

You will be working in a small team of Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers across a variety of projects for both our clients and our internal professionals. You will be responsible both for the development and delivery of software solutions. Your team will work alongside a Product Owner who will help prioritise deliverables allowing you to focus on creating world-class solutions.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK, though preference will be given to candidates in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and London. We generally spend two days per week in the office. Remote or part-time workers are welcome to apply.

Whilst there is no expectation of existing knowledge of tax, we would expect you to develop a degree of domain knowledge over time.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our CLR Audit team.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day high-quality delivery of audit engagements from planning through to completion.

Alongside audit delivery work, you will also supervise junior team members, and provide coaching and development to help them reach their full potential. This will include planning and reviewing their work to ensure the work quality is to a high standard. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships at audited entities and can expect to work with senior level staff.

You will work closely with the Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director and Partner, ensuring that they are kept up to date with progress, involving them on a timely basis in all phases of the audit and when issues arise. 

You will work in teams delivering either financial statement audit; technology audit; audit related data, analytics and tools; independent assurance over other info such as regulatory/ESG/internal controls; learning and development; quality/risk/knowledge management; and/or specialist, technical accounting advice (non-audited entities only).

We are currently recruiting Tax Assistant Managers to join our successful Family Office & Private Client team based in the South (Bristol/Reading). 

As a national practice our FO&PC team consists of approximately 150 team members across the UK, led by 9 Partners and 15 Directors. 
We work with a variety of high net worth individuals – from stakeholders in privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, executives of multi-national firms, landed estates and senior members of private equity firms; who may be tax resident and/or domiciled in a range of jurisdictions. The Role:
The Copilot Technical Architect plays a critical role in the design, development, and delivery of Microsoft Copilot solutions across industries. This position combines deep technical knowledge with client-facing experience, and is responsible for owning key solution areas, guiding implementation teams, and supporting pre-sales and go-to-market initiatives. The Technical Architect works closely with the Copilot Data Lead, Solution Consultants, and Business Development Managers to ensure client success and internal enablement.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Own the technical design and architecture of Copilot-based solutions across client engagements.
  • Lead the creation of proof-of-concepts (PoCs), demos, and solution assets that align with business requirements and technical feasibility.
  • Provide architectural oversight to project teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Microsoft best practices.
  • Support presales activities including client workshops, bid responses (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs), and technical presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to define reusable solution components and accelerators.
  • Stay aligned with the Microsoft roadmap for Copilot, AI Studio, Fabric, and Power Platform technologies.
  • Guide junior consultants and technical leads, providing mentoring and review support.
  • Contribute to internal capability building by sharing knowledge and leading enablement sessions.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a technical architect, pre-sales, or advanced consulting role.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Azure services.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and present complex Microsoft-based solutions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Proven success in at least one major industry (e.g., Financial Services, Public Sector, Retail, Manufacturing, Energy, or Professional Services).
  • Experience with licensing and integration strategy around Copilot and supporting Microsoft technologies.

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft AI Studio, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate and broader intelligent automation patterns.
  • Experience working in client delivery roles with a strong utilisation rate.
