The PowerPoint Designer will produce creative, comprehensive layout and design for proposals, marketing collateral, and client deliverables. This position requires a creative problem solver with a good understanding of conceptual design, from creation/development through to presentation to clients for review / refinement. Tax Technology & Innovation are a team of 300+ technologists providing technology enablement services and solutions across the Tax and Law business. This business has 2500+ tax & legal professionals covering multiple disciplines. 

The team is made up of Technology Consultants, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Architects & Engineers, Multi-disciplinary Engineering teams and IT Service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems used to improve productivity and solve key business problems across Tax & Legal.

A key focus is working with KPMG’s Global Compliance & Transformation (‘GCT’) team to grow our managed service business, helping multinational groups manage and transform their global tax and accounting compliance and reporting requirement across multiple operating regions.

KPMG’s Strategy & Performance Transformation team is looking for an exceptional Associate Director with a Healthcare and Life Sciences focus and experience of at least one of our core propositions; Growth Strategy, Deal Strategy and Operational Strategy. 

The Strategy & Performance Transformation team is part of KPMG’s rapidly expanding Strategy Group, which delivers value for clients by challenging conventional thinking, bringing deep industry and functional insights and executing with investor-grade rigour. Within the Strategy & Performance Transformation team we have an established Healthcare and Life Sciences practice. We are seeking an Associate Director to join the team who is a professional, talented individual with a passion for identifying and creating innovative solutions for clients. 

In Healthcare and Life Sciences we focus on Commercial Strategy, which includes, for example, launch and commercialisation strategy and transformation, pricing and market access, portfolio strategy, competitive strategy and LoE strategy. In terms of inorganic growth, we work both buy side and sell side, supporting our clients throughout the life cycle of a transaction including target identification, red flag analysis, commercial due diligence, business planning etc.

The role

An exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team as a Manager, based in our Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen office.  Our client base and the services we provide are varied, so you've got a great opportunity to help shape how you spend your time.  Key aspects of the role will involve:

• Being responsible for delivery of the corporation tax compliance work on a portfolio of clients and working with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on our larger client accounts
• Being involved in tax advisory projects including advice closely linked to the compliance work such as on controlled foreign companies and the corporate interest restriction, as well as assisting on ad hoc advisory projects
• Being responsible for the delivery of tax accounting work and working with Senior Managers and Directors on tax reporting work
• Ensuring our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business
• Supervising the work of junior members of staff and providing coaching to support their development
• Being responsible for and reporting to Directors and Partners on client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management
• Support the leadership with business development opportunities

The role would involve a mixture of tax compliance, reporting and advisory work and there would be flexibility around the weighting of time to these different components of the role based on your experience and areas of interest.

• Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent
