KPMG’s Pensions Advisory continues to build out its new pensions team, and requires individuals that can bring different skill-sets to the team. We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Manager to join our team, who will be responsible for working closely colleagues in the area of pension risk transfer.

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for effective collaboration within teams, supervising the work of junior staff, providing coaching and development to assist them in the effective delivery of engagements.

The Resource Advisor will work closely with the Resourcing Manager and Performance Leader within their allocated department(s) to understand the resourcing needs of the business. This will involve combining the management of the annual resource planning cycle of our recurring work with the proactive management of ad hoc resourcing requests for non-audit projects. In order to do this, they need to develop a good understanding of the client base of their respective departments, the pipeline of opportunities and the skills set of the client facing staff in order to make the right resourcing decisions in conjunction with the Resourcing Manager.

In a world where tech is always changing, so are we

• Extensive experience in prominent languages such as Python, Scala, Spark, SQL.
• Experience working with any database technologies from an application programming perspective - Oracle, MySQL, Mongo DB etc.
• Experience with the design, build and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure
• Robust understanding of design practices and system architecture and with a focus on data security
• Extensive experience of defining code review standards to drive quality
• Excellent problem solving skills with experience of troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
• Experience working with cloud platforms and in particular architecting with native cloud resources relevant to data problems
• Extensive experience driving and leading Agile methodologies (Scrum, pair-programming etc)
• Have the ability to work in a cross functional team of Business Analysts and demonstrating an excellent understanding of business requirements.
• Strong communication skills along with ability to lead a team towards a great product/service and articulate technical strategies to non-technical audiences including clients at all levels including C-suite

'The Team is an important function within Security Operations in KPMG. The team play a key role in ensuring that the business IT systems are protected and monitored from cyber threats. The team works with external MSSPs to monitor, analyse, report cyber security threats and respond accordingly. The team works with the different internal business capabilities to ensure that security monitoring service is embedded into their solutions. The team is also responsible for making sure that security monitoring is aligned with cyber threat landscape and business risks on an ongoing basis.
