KPMG’s Fixed Asset Tax Services Team (capital allowances) is made up of tax advisers, accountants, construction and quantity surveying specialists delivering expert advice to a broad range of clients across almost every industry sector. As one of the largest teams in the industry, our continued investment and desire to grow means that we seek a capital allowances specialist.

Our team works with clients from owner managed businesses, to large multinational organisations, and we are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our National team (covering all sectors and business types) with a strong financial, accounting and tax background.

Overview

This exciting role is within our South Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in our South Central or Southwest offices.

Our clients include UK headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors. 

Our work in the tax advisory space includes supporting clients with business and fiscal change. This can include advising on new jurisdiction entry, the development of new business areas, business reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, pre/post transaction reorganisations, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility and the impact global fiscal change (e.g. BEPS Pillar 2).

We work as a hybrid team where we get together in the office or at client sites at least twice a week to collaborate and learn together, with flexibility over how you spend the rest of your time.

The Reward Consulting  practice at KPMG is a dedicated team that provides reward solutions to both UK and non-UK headquartered non-FS clients. The Practice sits within the wider KPMG UK Reward practice, which has grown rapidly in recent years. We help financial services organisations – Banks, Insurance companies, FMIs, Wealth and Asset managers, and Fintechs – to change and adapt to the environment in which they operate.  Changes may be driven by decisions to digitise, to streamline, to pivot, to respond to new regulation or to harness the benefits of analytics or new technology.   Or they may be driven by acquisition or disposal.  Whatever the reason, our clients are continually re-designing parts of the organisation, and that’s where we come in.  

We are looking for experienced consultants who can lead Organisation Design workstreams on complex, business critical programmes.  You will be expected to

• Scope, price and design our approach for a particular client (with support from a Partner or Director), and then to lead delivery of this work
• Lead/support business development and grow revenues from the existing work portfolio
• Use leading practice problem-solving methodologies to address client issues and structure projects
• Work and collaborate with colleagues from other service lines such as technology, finance, customer or analytics
