KPMG’s Corporates Indirect Tax group focusses on the large corporates market, is a well-established group of around 30 dedicated indirect tax specialists who help UK and international headed groups address all of their indirect tax advisory needs. The team has specialists in many different sectors.

 

We assist our clients by managing and advising on projects as part of multidisciplinary and multijurisdictional teams and provide specialist indirect tax advice on a variety of complex issues and we are shameless in our desire to pioneer and our drive to seek out new opportunities.

Summary of Role

The SAP CDL is accountable for the quality of delivery of all SAP engagements, both functional and technical, through a matrixed team of Engagement Leaders and Engagement Managers. The CDL enables the growth of our SAP business by validating dealboard submissions, driving resourcing (on, near and offshore), embedding scalable and repeatable methods, incorporating lessons learned to improve delivery, and providing delivery assurance to SAP engagements.

 

Responsibilities

Sales

• Provide constructive challenge through the Deal Board and Solution Review processes with strong focus on delivery risk, client obligations, fixed price contingency level and risks that could erode EP and impact delivery success
• Identify and initiate new opportunities from existing SAP engagements
• EQCR for complex SAP deliveries – opportunity through to engagement

 

Capability Build  

Resourcing

• Grow team of SAP Engagement Leaders and Engagement Managers to ensure strength in delivery management
• Approve EL and EM accreditation requests for SAP service lines
• Maintain tight visibility of pipeline to ensure to resourcing budgets and targets are aligned and agreed for each year
• Manage timely resource planning and recruitment of functional and technical resources for all SAP engagements across all locations – on, near and offshore along with global reach to other KPMG locations and third parties
• Ensure engagement team make up contains the right skills experience and diversity

KPMG research shows that 2/3 of deals fail to deliver value, and amongst the top reasons are People and Culture. HR M&A was set up as part of the Integration & Separation (I&S) team in Deal Advisory, which has been growing year on year and seen by our clients as a market leader. We have worked on some of the largest and most high-profile client engagements in the deals space, including multi-billion spins, integration of global mega mergers, disposals of non-core assets for large multinationals. We have launched a market differentiating digital engagement platform for M&A as well as a campaign focused on ‘the Human Side of Deals’, and we continue to drive digital innovation.
