KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business, currently with 21 partners and approximately 200 professional staff in the UK. We work as a national practice providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations. The role in question is with the Trade & Customs team.

The Technology in M&A team at KPMG is a growing and dynamic team. We deal with all aspects of the technology function, from strategy, cloud, digital, technology spend, etc. We work with both acquirers and vendors on pre- and post-deal technology issues.

To support this growth we have a fantastic opportunity for Directors to join our Transactions Assurance team and work with companies on the audit and assurance requirements of both UK and US initial public offerings, and with a wide variety of project-based assurance and accounting topics, including carve out transactions, acquisitions and opening balance sheet audits and complex private equity transactions.

As a Director, you will act as a role model for your teams, facilitating the effective and efficient delivery of these assurance engagements. You will be responsible for leading teams and supervising the work of staff and providing coaching and developmental support.  You will also be working alongside our Capital Markets and Due Diligence teams where relevant and have opportunities to lead conversations with diverse range of stakeholders involved in projects such as (sponsors, lawyers, accounting advisors). 

There will also be great opportunity to work on business development skills, for example, leading initial management conversations and qualifying opportunities.
