We provide in-depth advice on strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure across Power & Utilities (“P&U”), Transport, Telecoms and Social Infrastructure in the UK and globally. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, tax, accounting, and due diligence.

KPMG is looking to recruit an Assistant Manager in their in-house Tax team, specialising in partner tax compliance. Reporting to the Senior Manager in the Partner Tax Compliance team, the individual will be required to demonstrate excellent tax compliance skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The work is by nature high profile and the ability to treat matters with the utmost confidentiality will be key. The role involves interacting with individual partners and working alongside other internal departments including the Partnership Office, Risk and Independence, payroll and OGC to deliver an efficient tax compliance and advisory service to partners as well as the partnership.

The Responsibilities
The role involves a mix of tax advisory services and compliance management. This will include:

-      Developing and leading client relationships and the KPMG team (including where relevant the wider client service team).

-      Understanding the client's business and working with the team to identify areas for the provision of tax and other services.

-      Ownership of the provision of tax advice on a wide range of projects, undertaking detailed technical research.

-      Where relevant, taking responsibility for the finalised deliverables in the tax compliance process (partnership tax returns, corporation tax returns and investor reports) and undertaking tax accounting work to assi
