• Banking Accounting Advisory (BAA) is a team of Banking and Financial Services technical accounting specialists with extensive experience delivering expert accounting advisory services, financial reporting and regulatory change projects to major Tier-1 global banks, challenger banks and building societies.

• We have deep expertise in complex accounting within the Banking and Financial Services sector such as IFRS 9, hedge accounting, securitisations and other structured transactions, derivatives, and deal accounting for mergers and acquisitions and group reorganisations.

• We also provide SME advice on the critical interactions between IFRS and PRA/EBA regulatory regimes.

• The team’s experience enables us to anticipate and proactively address the future challenges in the Banking sector and our proven track record has resulted in significant growth which requires dynamic and skilled individuals to deliver.

 

What will you be doing?

 

• Assist with the management of client opportunities, deliver live engagements and provide input into larger multi-disciplinary teams.

Our Transaction Services practice comprises approximately 500 people across the UK, organised to align to KPMG’s market orientated structure, and is at the heart of the Firm's agenda to increase its penetration of boardrooms and work with clients across the economic and transaction cycle.  Our team works closely with colleagues across Deal Advisory as well as Tax, Audit and other Advisory teams; it is a multi-disciplinary and international environment that sits right at the heart of our One Firm agenda. We are recruiting Associate Directors in our Private Equity, Financial Services, Corporates and Capital Markets teams across the UK to support the growth of our TS business.

Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG), a part of KPMG Advisory in the UK, consists of about 400 professionals and is widely recognised as a leading independent business, financial and regulatory adviser in the infrastructure space. The group has won many awards, including Financial Advisor of the Year (Infrastructure Journal) for several years. The group has presence across the UK and is organised on a national basis, operating under a single national cost centre.

 

We provide in-depth advice on strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure across Transport, Power & Utilities, and Social Infrastructure in the UK and globally. Our work includes market and policy design, economic and regulatory analysis, deal structuring and execution, as well as strategic and transaction advice to enable private and public capital to fund infrastructure. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, tax, accounting, and due diligence.

Our Asset Management Advisory (AMA) team brings together individuals with deep sector expertise and experience implementing asset management and infrastructure solutions to solve challenges across a range of sectors. We work with major public and private sector entities, principally those with major capital and infrastructure commitments in Transport (highways and rail), Defence, Power & Utilities, Telecoms and Energy Transition. This is a fast-growing area offering exciting opportunities building upon a global capability in Asset Management.

We are seeking an industry-leading Asset Management professional to become part of our team in KPMG UK supporting all AMA activity across the business including Operating Model Transformation, Strategy and Planning, Resilience, Estates Management, Assurance and internal audit, with a specific focus on supporting our oil and gas clients navigate the energy transition.

The Technology in M&A team at KPMG is a growing and dynamic team. We deal with all aspects of the technology function, from strategy, cloud, digital, technology spend, etc. We work with both acquirers and vendors on pre- and post-deal technology issues.
