This particular role is for an Assistant Manager or Manager to support a fast-paced, highly technical team in providing bespoke global tax services to major institutional investors and asset managers dealing with publicly traded securities.

Your Role:

• Master Technical Knowledge: Dive deep into the advisory aspect of operational taxes, including global withholding tax, capital gains tax, transfer tax, and related global tax compliance.
• Navigate Global Withholding Tax Relief Opportunities: Learn how clients can access WHT relief by way of ruling applications or tax reclaims under applicable tax treaties, domestic provisions and/or claims under the European Court of Justice.
• Client Relationship Management: Handle large global client relationships and projects with finesse.
• Collaborate Globally: Work closely with KPMG’s extensive network of member firms worldwide.
• Drive Business Development: Participate in business development and proposals to attract new clients.
• Innovate with Technology: Develop new client solutions in collaboration with our technology teams.

• Banking Accounting Advisory (BAA) is a team of Banking and Financial Services technical accounting specialists with extensive experience delivering expert accounting advisory services, financial reporting and regulatory change projects to major Tier-1 global banks, challenger banks and building societies.

• We have deep expertise in complex accounting within the Banking and Financial Services sector such as IFRS 9, hedge accounting, securitisations and other structured transactions, derivatives, and deal accounting for mergers and acquisitions and group reorganisations.

• We also provide SME advice on the critical interactions between IFRS and PRA/EBA regulatory regimes.

What will you be doing?

• Assist with the management of client opportunities, deliver live engagements and provide input into larger multi-disciplinary teams.

We are seeking a talented Senior Manager with experience leading large client Organisational Transformation programmes. Typically, these programmes would cover at least one of the following areas: Workforce Transformation (inc. AI), Organisation Design, Change Management, HR Transformation, Digital Transformation, Learning and Development. Our work is incredibly varied, but would typically cover:

• Leading complex people centric projects and transformation workstreams with a team of consultants, to drive business change, integrating across large multi-disciplinary programme teams and providing leadership on the people side of the solution/ implementation.
• Providing specialist advice and working closely with client leads and team members to successfully deliver project outcomes
• Contributing to business development and sales, working with account teams to scope opportunities and developing compelling proposals to win new clients
• Contributing to the development of methods, tools and thought leadership
• Build and shape relationships with clients on a daily basis
• Action as a career coach for their team members, helping them to develop and progress their careers

The role will be subject to MOD and UK Govt public sector governance and controls.  Therefore, you will either already hold Security Clearance, or be able to obtain clearance when you join us.

This role is for an innovative professional at Associate Director level, who can work alongside our existing team to use their lived experience of construction and commercial acumen to solve complex problems.

You will be responsible for helping to grow and deliver our MPA business, working with our leadership team, client organisations and other KPMG teams to develop our cost intelligence capability and the value proposition in this space. This will leverage your previous experience across capex efficiency, estimating, benchmarking, cost analytics and advisory work on policy and procedure in projects and programmes across the infrastructure sectors, all supported by a team of specialists in MPA.

The MPA team in the UK are based in London, Birmingham and Manchester. This role will be based in one of these locations but will require travel to client locations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
