We are a team of 100+ technologists providing technology enablement services and solutions across the Tax and Legal business. This business has 4,000 tax & legal professionals covering multiple disciplines. We serve many thousands of clients and private individuals by providing a modern, market-leading suite of technology solutions that provide an efficient digital experience from routine to complex tax advice depending on client’s situation.

The team is made up of Product Owners, Business Analysts, multi-disciplinary Engineering teams (approximate 150 Software, QA and Cloud Operations engineers) and IT Service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems used to improve productivity and solve key business problems across Tax & Legal. We also build cutting edge web portals for clients to interact with KPMG, maximising collaboration and ensuring seamless delivery of information to our clients.

The Role:

You will be working in a small team of Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers across a variety of projects for both our clients and our internal professionals. You will be responsible both for the development and delivery of software solutions. Your team will work alongside a Product Owner who will help prioritise deliverables allowing you to focus on creating world-class solutions.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK, though preference will be given to candidates in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and London. We generally spend two days per week in the office. Remote or part-time workers are welcome to apply.

Whilst there is no expectation of existing knowledge of tax, we would expect you to develop a degree of domain knowledge over time.

We are looking for a transformation change professional to join our busy, growing team. Our Programme Assurance team works with clients to help them deliver their transformations successfully by helping them to navigate risk. We do this by using our delivery and assurance experience to review programme status, and where required, provide practical recommendations to help move our clients delivery forwards. We have expertise across areas such as: PMO, change, testing, data migration, early life support and service transition. Our portfolio of clients are undertaking change programme enabled by a range of technology platforms including SAP, MSD, Workday and Oracle. Key areas of expertise:

Stakeholder Interaction & challenges: Engagement directly with senior stakeholders at our clients (for example Programme Directors and CFOs), robustly and articulately describing risks and recommendations from our assurance work. 

 

Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance: Role will be contribute to risk management activities over large multimillion pound engagements which will run over a multi year period. Programme Assurance work is by nature high risk and this role will therefore need to be adhering to all KPMG risk processes.

 

Role requirements: 

 

  • Full understanding of an end to end business transformation ERP programme, understands the challenges involved and therefore the requirements of programme assurance.
  • Full understanding of all critical workstreams including PMO, business change, business architecture, testing, data and cutover / transition and ability to lead focussed reviews in these areas.
  • Strong awareness of the key risks a programme will generally experience throughout the life-cycle and critically what mitigations are required to course correct.
  • Ability to convert observations into risks with clear impact articulation and practical recommendations (not text book ones)
  • Ability to manage multiple pieces of work (stage gates, deep dives etc) and align to other client side assurance activities (such as IA driven work). Ability to speak to internal Q&A teams using the right language around 1st / 2nd  / 3rd line etc.

The role of the Solution Onboarding Cross-functional TOM Lead is to support the solution onboarding program centrally across all KDN functions i.e. Audit, Tax and Advisory. It will support KDN leadership, central teams, delivery centers to align on priorities to onboard solutions. The responsibility of the role is to drive requirements gathering phase for solution and working for through Target Operating Model Blueprint aligned with KDN strategy for all new solutions. The focus of the role will be drafting and improvising a repeatable methodology with supporting documentation/assets to drive TOM Blueprint. Additionally, it will be to implement and track KPI's on the performance of the solution onboarding process; identify, validate and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline solution onboarding process.
