KPMG is looking to recruit an assistant manager in their in-house Tax team that delivers

KPMG’s corporate and partnership tax filings and advising on UK tax compliance matters.

The individual will be required to demonstrate UK tax compliance experience, the ability to

work to tight deadlines and handle large volumes of data as well as oversee the work of

other team members. The work is by nature high profile and the ability to treat matters with

the utmost confidentiality will be key. The work will involve working closely with other tax

professionals to deliver an efficient tax compliance service.

You will join a cross-functional ESP leadership team led by the Head of Education, Skills and Productivity and supported by a sales executive and a BDM focused on central government, and working alongside a talented team of partners and directors who face into the wider education market.

The role is to lead the translation of the national ESP market strategy into national and regional growth plans and in doing so ensure the plans reflect local client issues and the local impact of national public sector policy.

We are building a national team of advisory tax professionals focused on providing international tax advice to the largest and fastest growing businesses throughout the UK, be it listed, privately owned or private equity.  

This role will be entirely advisory focussed with no tax compliance responsibilities; however, we welcome applicants with either tax advisory and/or compliance background.

Job Description

You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across UK listed and take on a variety of projects, including corporate tax and multi-jurisdictional international tax structuring, business reorganisation, international expansion, operating model redesign, tax controversy support and responding to ongoing global tax policy change including BEPS 2.0.

The role will suit either a Manager wanting to drive their tax career forward advising international businesses, or an ambitious Assistant Manager wanting to take the next step. Previous experience of working with multinationals is helpful, but strong technical skills, drive and curiosity are essential.

Key roles and responsibilities will include:

• Working as a key member of the team to provide International Tax advisory services to support our clients in achieving their commercial objectives.
