As a Qualified Actuarial Consultant at KPMG you take a lead delivery role, managing small teams of advisors and auditors to a wide range of general insurance companies, in the Retail and Commercial sectors, including within Lloyd’s and the London Market. The entities that KPMG work with range from FTSE100 and global (re)insurers to smaller specialist insurers. You get the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from Solvency II support (eg IMV and Capital modelling support) to Financial Transformation projects to supporting our Deals team in large fast moving transactions. For our audit work we review clients’ reserving and capital assessments and forming their own independent assessments – this is the process we use widely when we provide specialist support on audits. Our practitioners have benefited by improving the breadth of their knowledge of reserving and getting exposure to and engagement with senior leadership within the insurance industry.

KPMG’s Major Projects Advisory (MPA) team works with industry-leading organisations, helping to solve some of the biggest challenges in infrastructure. As a true market leader, we boast an impressive client base across the commercial and public sectors, delivering lasting results on projects and programmes which are household names.

We provide clarity to Boards, Executives and SRO’s at major public and private sector organisations regarding the delivery of their projects and programmes. You will be responsible for managing the tax relationship across a diverse portfolio of clients which will provide you a broad range of technical experience. You will take on a variety of projects covering international tax, treasury tax, group restructuring, tax governance, group reporting and domestic tax advisory and compliance.
