Power & Utilities (P&U) is one of the largest business areas of the Infratstructure team  and encompasses work for large clients in the sector, including all energy and water companies in the UK as well as some of the largest utilities in Europe and beyond. We provide in-depth strategic and technical advice on corporate finance and corporate financial management, regulatory finance, regulatory policy, business and financial planning, cost assessment and benchmarking as well as in other areas directly affecting value. Our work combines elements of policy, finance, strategy and economics to assist our clients in structuring investments, securing financing, supporting regulatory regimes and maximising shareholder value. This role is for an innovative professional at Associate Director level, who can work alongside our existing team to use their lived experience of construction and commercial acumen to solve complex problems.

You will be responsible for helping to grow and deliver our MPA business, working with our leadership team, client organisations and other KPMG teams to develop our cost intelligence capability and the value proposition in this space. This will leverage your previous experience across capex efficiency, estimating, benchmarking, cost analytics and advisory work on policy and procedure in projects and programmes across the infrastructure sectors, all supported by a team of specialists in MPA.

The MPA team in the UK are based in London, Birmingham and Manchester. This role will be based in one of these locations but will require travel to client locations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

The KPMG financial services tax team is a fast-growing part of the KPMG tax practice. We are looking for

The Responsibilities: The role involves a mixture of both compliance and advisory responsibilities, with specific duties including:

• Developing and maintaining a high level of technical knowledge across operational taxes and related

areas.

• Supporting the management of client relationships and projects and becoming a focal point of contact

for clients within operational taxes.

• Understanding our client's business and working with teams across KPMG to identify areas for the

provision of operational tax and other services.

• Developing and advising on cutting edge client propositions.

• Collaborating with KPMG teams across the UK and globally to provide the highest quality operational

• Participating in the development of new client propositions, which will include working with technology

The Person:  

The successful candidates are likely to have some or all of the following skills:

• Evidence of deep technical ability relating to tax or financial services – e.g., this might be a

qualification in tax, audit, finance, law, regulation or significant practical experience gained in an

industry role.

• Practical experience of dealing with operational taxes within a Financial Services context –

candidates with industry or professional services

Summary of Role

The SAP CDL is accountable for the quality of delivery of all SAP engagements, both functional and technical, through a matrixed team of Engagement Leaders and Engagement Managers. The CDL enables the growth of our SAP business by validating dealboard submissions, driving resourcing (on, near and offshore), embedding scalable and repeatable methods, incorporating lessons learned to improve delivery, and providing delivery assurance to SAP engagements.

Our work includes market and policy design, economic and regulatory analysis, deal structuring and execution, as well as strategic and transaction advice to enable private and public capital to fund infrastructure. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, tax, accounting, and due diligence.
