KPMG’s Strategy & Performance Transformation practice is looking for exceptional candidates for an Associate Director role.  The role will focus on Deal Strategy within the Media industry as part of the wider Telecommunications-Media-Technology sector, but with scope to work on the wider range of services including Growth Strategy, Deal Strategy, Cost and Operational strategy (including Economic Profitability Analysis) and Enterprise-wide Transformation.

Overview

This exciting role is within our national IGH Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in our Manchester office, but open to other regions depending on candidate.

Responsibilities/ Attributes

• You will be in a client facing role, engaging with C-suite and senior executives to set the vision and then in the delivery and operationalisation of data architecture and technology platforms.
• Translate complex data concepts into compelling, actionable advice for stakeholders.
• A visible practice leader, shaping thought leadership, owning and refining propositions for relevance, and driving go-to-market activities.
• Lead the design and implementation of modern data platforms and architectures, including data Lakehouse, data engineering and advanced analytics ecosystems enabling scale implementation and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (ML, GenAI and Agentic).
• Develop and own end-to-end solution implementations using technologies such as Collibra, Informatica, Databricks, Quantexa, and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring scalability and impact. 
• Build, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across onshore, nearshore and offshore locations.
• Champion delivery: unblock obstacles, step into the details, and deliver quiet confidence that you’ll get things done.

The Deal Execution team is part of KPMG’s rapidly expanding Strategy Group, which delivers value for clients by challenging conventional thinking, bringing deep industry and functional insights and executing with investor-grade rigour.  We are a diverse team of over 105 practitioners, working collaboratively with and orchestrating KPMG’s broad set of capabilities within our Advisory business, and are focused on continually enhancing value for clients across the deal and economic cycle.
