Powered Enterprise is KPMG’s world-class accelerated Enterprise Business Transformation approach for cloud-based solutions driven by a pre-defined back-office function based on leading practices and KPMG’s six-layer Target Operating Model. The Powered Connected Technology team is a community of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver SaaS ERP based transformation programmes based on KPMG Powered Enterprise. The team use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. Oracle, Workday, Coupa, SAP) to lead and deliver client programmes, to support pre-sales activities and to develop improvement and extensions to the Powered Enterprise model. KPMG’s Strategy & Performance Transformation practice is looking for exceptional candidates for a Manager role.  The role will focus on Deal Strategy within the Media industry as part of the wider Telecommunications-Media-Technology sector, but with scope to work on the wider range of services including Growth Strategy, Deal Strategy, Cost and Operational strategy (including Economic Profitability Analysis) and Enterprise-wide Transformation.

Overview

 

This exciting role is within our London Region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in our Canary Wharf office. 

 

Our clients include UK headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors. 

 

Our work in the tax advisory space includes supporting clients with business and fiscal change. This can include advising on new jurisdiction entry, the development of new business areas, business reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, pre/post transaction reorganisations, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility and the impact global fiscal change (e.g. BEPS Pillar 2).

 

We work as a hybrid team where we get together in the office or at client sites at least twice a week to collaborate and learn together, with flexibility over how you spend the rest of your time. 

 

The Role

 

• Being one of the main points of contact on a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters and working with Senior Managers and Managers on our larger client accounts
• Supporting on tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input based on experience and researching topics and by working with other areas of tax and our overseas members firms to incorporate their input into our advice
• Ensuring our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business
• Supporting on the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services
• Supervising the work of junior members of staff and providing coaching to support their development.
• Assisting our Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management
• Support the leadership with business development opportunities

 

The person

 

• Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent

• UK corporation tax experience
• Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates, and integrates information

• Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work
