Our IGH (Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare) Technology Risk team is a multi-disciplinary team that offers a wide variety of assurance related advisory services to help our clients build digital trust in their organisations. This includes IT internal audit, IT risk management, independent programme assurance, clinical systems assurance, GRC tooling and Tech Transformation (AI, Strategy etc). What will you be doing?

Managing the delivery of a portfolio of client-facing work within specialist areas – this includes producing high-quality outputs with attention to detail.
Coaching and developing more junior team members on engagements.
Supporting the development and delivery of target strategies in one or two specific markets.
Looking after financial aspects of an engagement - ensuring we keep clients informed of costs and time incurred, in addition to raising invoices and recovering fees.
Business development - identifying potential opportunities for new assignments and assisting with bids.
Helping to grow our Technology Risk business nationally.

What will you need to do it?

Experience built around building digital trust and managing technology risk.
A strong professional profile with an existing network and proven track record.
IT/ Internal Audit Experience
Experience in any of our key sectors.
A foundation of excellent academics and good career progression to date.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
An ability to build and maintain great relationships and a desire to network across our firm.
Confident communication and presentation skills.
Existing UK Government Security Clearance or the desire and ability to obtain this to SC level based upon UK residence and background check requirements.

Business Development Manager (Commercial Sector)

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving utilisation and dependence upon our firm as the go-to place for all things Microsoft at KPMG. Acting as a trusted advisor, the BDM will support member firms in shaping strategic approaches that meet their clients’ business and technology needs.

The role will focus on creating and progressing opportunities for MBS across the International market, particularly within the Commercial Sector—which includes industries such as manufacturing, retail, consumer goods, technology, logistics, energy, professional services, healthcare, hospitality, and education. Leveraging a hybrid skillset of business development, presales, technical expertise, and delivery know-how, the BDM will help position our capabilities effectively within these dynamic sectors.

Business Development

Own the development and execution of a demand generation strategy for a key industry market to drive pipeline and sales to agreed KPI’s
Develop the overall positioning, uniqueness, and messaging for the Microsoft offerings through KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions into that industry
Responsible for the generation of pipeline and execution of sales for the organisation
Identify and develop opportunities for the organisation to diversify across sub industry, emerging technology and services propositions to build pipeline
Work with KPMG teams to create integrated propositions to meet the needs of specific industries or clients to build pipeline
Lead the interlock with the delivery organisation to ensure:
Contracts with clients are robust
The sales teams support programme delivery in partnership
The development of innovative and profitable commercial constructs
Develop a marketing and communications plan to drive pipeline for the organisation in white space clients
Ensure that client relationships and commercial engagements are managed effectively to ensure successful delivery and long-term relationship development

Business Development – Execution

Own and cultivate senior stakeholder relationships within key strategic accounts
Own and manage key relationships within the KPMG partner network to drive pipeline from within the firms’ client base
Own and manage the relationship with key Microsoft stakeholders to develop co- selling opportunities
Lead key bids and proposals for large scale transformation programmes (typically in the €1-4m range)

Requirements

Highly experienced working in Microsoft solution sales
Working knowledge of Microsoft technology (particularly Dynamics 365, Office 365 and Azure)
Strong cross industry experience (Financial Services, Public Sector and Consumer Markets)
Highly experienced working in partnership with Microsoft to develop business systems or cloud-based technology propositions to meet client needs
Experience of working in an LLP organisation
Demonstrable track record developing long term profitable relationships with mid and large sized organisations

The Team
Our Risk and Regulatory practice provides advisory services to assist leading organisations in the Wealth and Asset Management (“WAM”) sector. KPMG has a proven track record of helping clients in this area, and we have significant growth plans in this sector given the opportunities arising from a substantive regulatory agenda, an evolving and increasingly complex risk management environment, and a need to transform risk and compliance capability.

The Risk and Regulatory team possess a variety of core assurance and advisory skills and have considerable industry knowledge and specialist expertise of the UK and EU regulatory environment.

The Role – Manager

Responsibilities:

Advising clients on key areas of risk and regulatory compliance within the WAM sector and the challenges that changing regulation has on their business models. This role has a specific focus on front office controls and trading oversight. This will include supporting clients on the following areas:

Front Office governance arrangements, control environments and corporate culture around dealing, investment management processes and related regulatory compliance in this area
The development of Target Operating Models for risk and control functions cross the 3 Lines of Defence.
Reviewing, developing, and implementing risk monitoring capability aligned to the investment teams and dealing desks .
Conflicts of interest management across the front office including the use of related technology in this area. Developing best practice control and oversight around COBS compliance
The review and development of market surveillance programmes including market abuse frameworks and related technology in this area
Supporting regulatory change and implementation programmes with a specific focus on the front office, investment solutions and dealing.
Pre/Post regulatory implementation health checks.
Delivering client engagements, working in both small sized teams and larger, multi-disciplinary teams. This would include the whole engagement lifecycle: Planning to completion and reporting directly to the engagement Director and Partner.
Delivering Section 166 reviews and reporting to the FCA as part of a wider team.
Providing advice regarding regulatory requirements affecting the WAM sector.
Delivering high quality written outputs for client consumption.

The candidate will also be expected to:

Keep up to date with industry specific issues and circumstances which affect WAM regulation
Prepare presentations and lead internal training
Develop propositions and points of view around the risk and control environments within the Front Office, dealing and trading oversight teams.

The Person
Qualifications and Skills:

Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Professional qualification preferred (e.g. CFA, FRM, PRM), with strong knowledge of regulatory rules and guidance but crucially practical application within the WAM industry.
Strong understanding of businesses, structures, governance frameworks, and process and control infrastructures of firms in the WAM sector.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence and deal with senior individuals.
Knowledge of the UK/EU regulatory environment, including the familiarisation with:
