• Journey planning and risk management, aiming for self-sufficiency or buy out, and endgame options including use of surplus

• Funding advice to sponsors and advice on compliance with DB funding code

• Advice on contingent funding options and work on special purpose vehicles

• Pensions due diligence on mergers and acquisitions

• Provision of member education and communication

• Advice on benefit change, benefit design and implementation

• Advice on good governance and compliance

Join Deal Advisory Tax as a Manager and help corporate and financial investors understand, manage and optimise tax considerations across acquisitions, disposals, refinancings and other complex transactions. You will work on UK and cross-border deals ranging from £10 million to more than £10 billion, collaborating with clients, legal advisers and specialists across KPMG. Role and Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining good relationships with clients
- Being the day to day contact for allocated clients
- Review of tax returns, and preparation/review of Income Tax/NIC calculations
- Conduct arrival/departure briefings
- Contributing to client service teams, helping ensure they function smoothly and effectively
- Preparation of written advice for clients, and helping to advice clients on GMS issues
- Project management of advisory projects carried out for clients
- Ensuring clients are provided with up to date information on GMS developments
- Involvement in business development/proposals
- Managing and coaching more junior staff
