Our Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) advises major public and private sector infrastructure and asset-intensive organisations across all sectors, including Natural Resources, Energy, Power, Utilities, Transport, Oil and Gas, Defence, Health and Education. We are strengthening our Strategic Delivery Partner capability to meet increasing demand from these organisations in support for how to use data, analytics and technology to unlock value from their assets and infrastructure. This is a fast-growing area offering exciting opportunities, building upon our global capabilities in Infrastructure, Asset Management and Data Analytics. Within the Infrastructure Advisory Group are a team full of subject matter experts, but that’s not all. We are responsible for providing best in class support on everything from: finance, economics, construction, engineering, QS, forensic assurance, asset management, PMO, strategy, regulatory work and project finance.

 

Power & Utilities (P&U) is the largest business area of the IAG and encompasses work for major clients in the sector, including all UK utilities as well as some of the largest energy and water companies in Europe and beyond. We provide in-depth strategic and technical advice on strategy and business planning and analysis, corporate finance and corporate financial management, regulatory policy, cost assessment and benchmarking as well as in other areas to help our clients create value for both shareholders and customers. Our work combines elements of policy, finance, strategy and economics to assist our clients in structuring investments, securing financing, supporting regulatory regimes for the benefit of customers as well as maximising shareholder value. We are widely recognised by many industry stakeholders as market leaders influencing the future of the utilities sector.

 

This area continues to grow and we are looking for a high quality candidate to support our Power & Utilities business with a particular focus on giving strategic advice to clients in relation to the evolving regulation and policy framework affecting the energy networks.

 

The Team
KPMG UK’s Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) is a team of roughly 400 professionals and is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading financial and commercial advisers in the infrastructure sector. IAG has locations in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester, but is operated on a national basis. Due to the location of team members you will be working with, this role can be based in London or Birmingham.

Our Transaction Services practice comprises approximately 500 people across the UK, organised to align to KPMG’s market orientated structure, and is at the heart of the Firm's agenda to increase its penetration of boardrooms and work with clients across the economic and transaction cycle.  Our team works closely with colleagues across Deal Advisory as well as Tax, Audit and other Advisory teams; it is a multi-disciplinary and international environment that sits right at the heart of our One Firm agenda. We are recruiting Associate Directors in our Private Equity, Financial Services, Corporates and Capital Markets teams across the UK to support the growth of our TS business.

Our Transaction Services team collaborate with organisations of all shapes and sizes across a broad range of Mergers and Acquisitions activity. We are an integrated team of specialists helping clients focus on the key questions during the critical stages of planning and executing a deal, creating and enhancing value.
