What you will do

  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary engagements, taking ownership of workstreams within legal operating model, legal technology, and managed services projects.

  • Support the design and delivery of transformation roadmaps structured around our methodologies.

Senior Technical Architect

 

As a platform / lead Microsoft architect you will have been responsible for the architecture design and implementation of multiple transformation projects for your clients using the Microsoft Eco-System. You will be an experienced Microsoft architect with deep knowledge of the Dynamics Business Applications and how to exploit the wider Microsoft Cloud offerings to delivery technology transformations.

 

Responsabilities: 

  • Own the overall architecture design end-to-end by ensuring its cohesion and correctness. 
  • Comfortable debating and deliberating architectural approaches with solution and lead architects, need to be able to discuss and debate the pros and cons of the Microsoft Platform/Cloud strategy.
  • You will be seen by the client as an experienced and pragmatic architect instilling confidence in design and delivery 
  • Works within the client’s governance framework and with the client’s architecture leads to design and deliver technology outcomes that realise the business outcomes defined by the client
  • Creates strategy for technology that meets business needs. Able to create, refine and evaluate patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements. 
  • Expected to lead a team of technical and solution architects - creating a cohesive team, identifying strengths and growth-potential – applying various approaches to close any gaps and enable the growth of individuals, whilst meeting the client’s needs

The Person

 

Experience 

  • Degree level of Education in IT or equivalent
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a senior position within programming / architecture, coupled with people leadership role
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Technology Stack and non-Microsoft technologies

 

Expertise and Technical Knowledge

  • Enterprise Design Patterns and framework (TOGAF, Zachman) 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the delivery lifecycle

Our business is expanding rapidly and we are looking for a high-quality candidate to support our Power & Utilities business, with a particular focus on the water sector.

The Role
 

  • You would be joining the leading provider of strategic economic consultancy services in the water sector.
  • While you will have specific responsibilities for contributing towards the team’s water business, there will also be opportunities to work in other sectors, primarily energy networks.
  • Working closely with sector and subject matter experts you will develop to become the ‘go to’ person for water sector economic advice. This will involve developing an in-depth understanding of Ofwat’s regulatory framework.
  • You will build relationships with key clients across the sector, as well as with other advisors (e.g., legal and engineering. The projects that you will advise on will be high profile and caried. For example, in recent years we have advised on the regulatory framework for the Thames Tideway Tunnel, every aspect of water companies' business plans, bulk supply trading negotiations, Competition and Markets Authority re-determinations, major transactions, organisational transformations, and much more. If there is a large strategic project taking place in the sector, the chances are we will be advising on it. 
  • There is no ‘typical project’. You will need to apply a structured strategic approach to problem solving, drawing on established economic principles, while having the capacity to think creatively.  
  • The work will include a combination of report drafting, economic analysis, and engaging with clients. 
  • You will need to be comfortable managing, coaching, and mentoring junior staff across a number of projects. 
  • You will contribute towards building the team, identifying opportunities in the market, and providing thought leadership.
