The Technology in M&A team at KPMG is a growing and dynamic team. We deal with all aspects of the technology function, from strategy, cloud, digital, technology spend, etc. We work with both acquirers and vendors on pre- and post-deal technology issues.

The Team

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Asset Management Advisory (AMA) team, part of the KPMG Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG). Our team advises infrastructure owners in both the public and private sector, including government with their most complex challenges. IAG is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading independent financial and business advisers in infrastructure consisting of over 380 professionals.

 

Our team leads exciting projects across both public and private sectors principally focused on major capital and infrastructure portfolios in Transport, Energy, Water, Defence, Oil and Gas and Health. This is a fast-growing area offering many opportunities building upon a global capability in Asset Management where we provide:

• Asset Strategy and Transformation, including operating model design and transformation of asset management functions.
• Asset Health and Performance including investment planning, efficiency improvements in capital and operating expenditure, as well as asset resilience, asset data, investment business cases and benchmarking.
• Digital asset management including asset performance and financial modelling and smart technology.
• Investor assurance of asset performance and transaction due diligence support.

The Role KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. We work as a national practice providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations. KPMG’s Financial Services Indirect Tax practice currently services a broad range of clients, providing both VAT and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) services. As VAT and IPT are real time, transactional taxes we work closely with our clients, building up a deep knowledge of their activities and how their businesses operate. The team undertakes both compliance and advisory services. Over the last 12 months the team has been successful in winning a number of new, exciting projects. These projects include working with some of the largest investment banks, insurers, asset managers and fintechs In the market, we continue to see strong demand from clients looking for indirect tax support. In order to deliver the projects already won and the additional projects we expect to win, we are looking to recruit motivated individuals who have existing Indirect Tax experience, are interested in the financial services sector, would like the opportunity to assume responsibility for client delivery and are keen to build their knowledge of businesses operationally. Responsibilities Providing indirect tax and advisory compliance services to a range of clients Supporting senior members of the team in the delivery of client projects Day-to-day, direct contact with clients and developing long lasting, positive relationships; Supporting senior members of the team in business development initiatives; Working with and developing Tax Assistants within the team; Helping to identify opportunities to implement and develop technology solutions to deliver compliance and advisory projects. Part of a developing team that will become our ‘go to’ for Procurement Technology, you will play a key role in the growing of our propositions to sell and deliver large programs. You’ll have excellent listening skills, and a proven track record of helping clients reach their desired outcomes. On the technical side, you’ll need a thorough understanding of Procurement technology solutions.
