The Role

DAT provides market leading advice to corporates and financial institutions on a broad range of transactions. 

Embedded within DAT is our Private Equity & Credit team. The PE&C team works with large and mid-cap private equity and credit intuitions, advising them throughout the deal spectrum including buy-side due diligence and structuring, sell-side vendor assist, due diligence and structuring, refinancing, restructuring and listing support.

The PE&C team has advised on some of the largest deals in the market, helping clients understand and quantify historical tax issues, structure transactions, model tax outcomes and reflect advice in the legal documents underpinning each transaction, all with a continuous focus on maximising value throughout the investment cycle. Working collaboratively across the KPMG network, our work often involves advice across multiple countries, taxes, and work streams.

  • Providing technical transfer pricing advice to our Large Corporate clients on a broad range of topics
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships including acting as the main point of contact for clients and relevant stakeholders
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently and be able to tailor advice and deliverables to the size of the client and the budget for completing the project.
  • Managing various projects across multiple jurisdictions and leading the day-to-day delivery processes

GCT - Transformation Senior Manager

We are looking for talented Senior Managers to join us in Canada Square, London (although flexibility on location will be considered) with experience in a broad range of areas including:

 

  • Deep tax transformation experience – the ability to analyse tax requirements, design tax processes and implement tax technology solutions
  • Strong and practical ERP finance and tax experience, specifically in SAP S4 HANA, Oracle or Workday, as a foundation for tax processes
  • Strong experience of design and configuration of ERP systems for tax purposes
  • Strong experience of implementing VAT determination engines and bolt-ons, such as Vertex O-Series, Thomson Reuters OneSource Determination, or Meridian VAT Add-On
  • Strong tax technology implementation experience, including requirements gathering from a tax, IT and users and creating and reviewing design documentation
  • Tax process knowledge, for example indirect tax, direct tax and/or transfer pricing
  • Strong familiarity with end-to-end finance processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record-to-report) and their integration with tax
  • Advising on appropriate tax technology to support compliance and reporting processes

The role offers the opportunity to work with market-leading transaction advisory professionals across the ENR and Infrastructure sectors, with a clearly defined progression path. The successful candidate will be supported in advancing to the next grade upon demonstrating the ability to take full ownership of large and complex engagements, together with the technical expertise, leadership skills, sector knowledge and behaviours required at that level.
