KPMG is looking to recruit a VAT manager in their in-house Tax team. This is a new role within the internal VAT team which is responsible for mitigating the VAT risk of KPMG's supplies to clients. As a result, the role is pivotal in achieving this goal. The manager will be responsible for providing the correct advice to the KPMG service lines and ensure our VAT reporting to HMRC and other overseas authorities are within the direction of the relevant VAT law.

Reporting to the Senior Manager in the Partner Tax Compliance team, the individual will be required to demonstrate excellent tax compliance skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The role involves interacting with individual partners and working alongside other internal departments including the Partnership Office, Risk and Independence, payroll and OGC to deliver an efficient tax compliance and advisory service to partners as well as the partnership.

The Partner Independence team are part of the wider Ethics & Independence (“E&I”) team and sit within Quality and Risk Management. The E&I team is responsible for developing and deploying appropriate policy, procedure and guidance on Ethics and Independence (firm, personal and service-related) to ensure compliance with regulatory and KPMG International requirements, ensuring an adequate programme of communication and training in respect of those policies and procedures is in place and providing guidance and advice to Partners and staff on all E&I matters.

The Partner Independence team provide support and guidance to all of KPMG’s Partners and Directors and play an important role ensuring personal independence compliance is met and upheld by helping them to accurate maintain their personal compliance records in line with the policies and procedures surrounding their personal financial affairs.
