The Powered Apps teams are communities of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver SaaS ERP and EPM based transformation programmes based on KPMG Powered Enterprise. The teams use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Planning, Finance, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. Oracle, Workday, Coupa) to lead and deliver client programmes, to support pre-sales activities and to develop improvement and extensions to the Powered Enterprise model. KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. We work as a national practice providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations. The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business, currently with 13 partners and approximately 220 professional staff in the UK.

This Manager role is Financial Services focussed. KPMG has one of the largest Financial Services Indirect Tax departments, advising banking, insurance, investment management, asset backed finance, real estate and private equity clients across a broad range of issues.

The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality of delivery at this specialist level and will be actively involved in managing the performance of junior colleagues within the team.

KPMG undertakes client risk assessments (CRA), including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Know Your Client (KYC) as part its process for accepting clients.  

The Client Assessment Team forms a key part of this process and sits within Q&RM (part of KBS), which is led by the Chief Risk Officer.  This team will also have a reporting line into the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).  KPMG’s Q&RM function is responsible for monitoring the firm’s and its individuals’ compliance with the firm’s professional risk management and quality control policies, procedures and guidance.  
The Client Assessment Team has both onshore and offshore delivery components and undertakes thorough client risk assessments (CRA) to help KPMG to appropriately identify, document and assess financial, reputational, money laundering and regulatory risks associated with its clients.  The CRA will include completion of AML KYC in line with the Money Laundering (Transfer of the Payer) Regulations 2017 and associated industry guidance.
