KPMG’s FS Corporate Tax team has an immediate need for a Manager to support delivery of a range of engagements across corporate tax, help us manage our existing portfolio of clients and help us win additional work in the Financial Services marketplace.

The work required by the role would be varied and dynamic and requires a decent level of UK corporate tax knowledge and experience. The role will also require the candidate to be able to work as part of a team both with more senior and more junior staff.

The KPMG FS Corporate Tax Team has a strong market reputation working with leading Global and UK banks, insurers and asset managers on a range of tax services. There is a strong pipeline of project and advisory work. Our team is friendly and supportive with staff members based around the country. The team are used to working with each other remotely for much of the time and therefore we are open to applicants based anywhere in the UK.

The Role

• The role would involve working on corporate tax advisory engagements for financial services clients
• Delivery of tax advice, including potentially Pillar Two advisory work
• If a candidate has an interest in compliance the role could also involve managing and reviewing tax compliance

• The role will involve interacting with clients directly and managing client relationships and commercial arrangements
• Potentially providing tax audit support on our financial services audited entities

The Person

• Ideally the candidate would have knowledge and experience of financial services (Banking, insurance, asset management or more broadly) however that is not essential, and we would consider suitably qualified candidates who do not have financial services experience as training can be given as needed.

• Client and Relationship Management: Developing and leading relationships across a portfolio of clients is crucial. This involves managing client work effectively, maintaining good financial discipline, and proactively identifying areas for additional services.

Role summary

The KDN Solution Lead – AI will be leader for the AI offerings, will be instrumental in arriving at strategy, plan, direct and control the AI associated solutions, evolve the portfolio, functions and Delivery of all AI portfolio of solutions. Instrumental Define and provide strategic and technical direction for AI solution and delivery operations.

How will you make your mark?

Key responsibilities include

Develop and own the long-term strategy, value proposition, differentiation for the AI solution and offering
Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to shape offering direction
Act as the single point of accountability for stakeholders, Member Firms and customers
Collaborate closely with sales, alliances, and customer success to drive adoption
Engage customers directly during solution demos, roadmap presentations, and escalations.
Ability to foresee AI’s long term impact on industries and integrate it into organizational strategy
Champion customer advocacy and long-term value realisation
Own the solution scale up, utilisation, centre strategy and P&L for the platform or solution portfolio.
Accountable for operational and Financial KPIs set for AI solution/service portfolio each FY

Exposure to AI governance and regulatory frameworks
Experience in building AI business, solutions and competency • Experience in GenerativeAI, LLM and prompt engineering
Exsentive experience in technology with 5+ years in AI/ML leadership role
Strong hands on experience with ML frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms(AWS, AZURE)
Deep understanding of ML algorithms, LLMs and AI architecture
Proven experience in deploying AI solutions at scale across industries
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Leadership and people skills: Capable of guiding teams through digital transformation and AI adoption.
Ability to build talent, experience in building and mentoring AI teams, fostering innovation and upskilling employees
Ethical and Governance competencies: Responsible AI practices, knowledge of fairness, transparency bias mitigation and regulatory compliance.
Risk Management: Ability to anticipate and address ethical, legal and risk implications of AI deployment and guide organizations and clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with GenAI, LLM finetuning and prompt engineering.
