Overview

 

This exciting role is within our South Region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in our South Central Or South West offices. 

 

Our clients include UK headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors. 

 

Our work in the tax advisory space includes supporting clients with business and fiscal change. This can include advising on new jurisdiction entry, the development of new business areas, business reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, pre/post transaction reorganisations, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility and the impact global fiscal change (e.g. BEPS Pillar 2).

 

We work as a hybrid team where we get together in the office or at client sites at least twice a week to collaborate and learn together, with flexibility over how you spend the rest of your time. 

 

The Role

 

  • Being one of the main points of contact on a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters and working with Senior Managers and Managers on our larger client accounts
  • Supporting on tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input based on experience and researching topics and by working with other areas of tax and our overseas members firms to incorporate their input into our advice.
  • Ensuring our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business.
  • Supporting on the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services
  • Supervising the work of junior members of staff and providing coaching to support their development.
  • Assisting our Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management
  • Support the leadership with business development opportunities.

 

The person

 

  • Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent
  • UK corporation tax experience

 What will you be doing?

  • Managing the delivery of a portfolio of client-facing work within specialist areas – this includes producing high-quality outputs with attention to detail.

  • Supporting the development and delivery of target strategies in one or two specific markets.
  • Looking after financial aspects of an engagement - ensuring we keep clients informed of costs and time incurred, in addition to raising invoices and recovering fees.

  • Helping to grow our Technology Risk business nationally.

 

What will you need to do it?

  • Candidates with 5+ years’ experience - primarily built around building digital trust and managing technology risk.
  • A strong professional profile with an existing network and proven track record.
  • IT/ Internal Audit Experience
  • Experience in any of our key sectors.
  • A foundation of excellent academics and good career progression to date. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An ability to build and maintain great relationships and a desire to network across our firm. 
  • Confident communication and presentation skills.
  • Existing UK Government Security Clearance or the desire and ability to obtain this to SC level based upon UK residence and background check requirements.
