We have an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our Department of Professional Practice – Audit (DPP Audit) capability at Assistant Manager level. KPMG UK’s Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) is a team of roughly 400 professionals and is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading independent financial and commercial advisers in the infrastructure sector. IAG has locations in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester, but is operated on a national basis.

IAG provides in-depth advice on the strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure in the UK and internationally. This ranges from providing strategic thinking and advice to companies and investors to enable private capital to fund infrastructure, to working with the public sector to develop the business cases to enable projects to happen and advising through negotiations that bring the public and private sectors together. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, tax, accounting, and due diligence issues.

Social infrastructure is a key business area for IAG and covers real estate (including healthcare, housing, mixed-use development, regeneration, and education) and decentralised energy sectors. We offer services across the lifecycle of infrastructure project development, ranging from assessing feasibility of transactions, commercial structuring, business plans and business cases to support investment into new projects, financing and procurement advice, commercial assurance over the construction and development phase of projects and dispute analysis for existing contracts.

Tax Assistant Manager - Banking

KPMG’s FS Corporate Tax team has an immediate need for an Assistant Manager to support delivery of a range of engagements across corporate tax advisory, tax advisory, and tax audit assist. The KPMG FS Corporate Tax Team has a strong market reputation working with leading Global and UK bank and insurers on a range of tax services.   

The team will invest in the right candidate to enable quick upskilling on industry tax technical and commercial matters.  There is a strong pipeline of project and advisory work. 

What will you be doing?

Delivery of a range of engagements across tax advisory including M&A, tax advice including Pillar 2, tax audit, and compliance 

What will you need to do it?

• Corporate tax background, ideally some experience in tax audit 
• Currently operating at assistant manager grade  
• Willingness to learn  
• Possession of sound judgement, including the ability to identify and evaluate risk issues, and knowing when to involve others;<

Our team works with clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to large multinational organisations. We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Scotland team who has a background in capital allowances, tax or accounting. The work is varied and will be across a number of sectors.
