The People in M&A Centre of Excellence deals with all aspects of the employee journey in M&A, as well as leveraging our experience to enact transformational change outside of a deal context. From early-stage strategy development and organisational design for carve-outs, to synergy cases and cost benefits, employee experience and corporate culture, employee transfer, through to the conception, development and management of effective transformational solutions to help an organisation achieve its ambitions and objectives. The Learning Content team is responsible for designing and developing a diverse range of engaging and inclusive learning solutions for a broad client base across various sectors. Our expertise spans on-demand context-setting animations, inclusive digital learning, thought-provoking podcasts, facilitated in-person and virtual classrooms, and action-oriented peer working sessions. We are renowned for our proficiency in learning and are seeking a skilled Learning Visual Designer to join our team and contribute to our continued growth.

What will you be doing?

• Attend project kick-off meetings and work with the Learning Content Lead, Instructional Designers (IDs) and/or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop branding, look & feel documentation and apply these standards to develop initial templates.
• Work with Learning Content Lead /Project managers to estimate completion time.
• Interpret storyboards and scripts to create visually engaging content, using experience to recommend appropriate solution format and design approach.
• Work closely with Instructional Designers to support the development of storyboards and scripts, providing technical suggestions to further enhance the learning solutions and ensure deliverables can meet quality, cost and timeframes as agreed with Project Management team and client.
• Source and produce Graphics and video/animations.
• Communicate ideas to stakeholders and suggest ways to innovate existing processes and solutions.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness when planning build, focussing on quality as well as commerciality.

What will you need to do it? 

• Experience in delivering innovative, compelling visual designs across a range of formats including digital, video, and print.
• Highly proficient in graphic design software, preferably using the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop / Illustrator / After Effects / Premiere.
• Experience working in a client-focused environment, with excellent collaboration skills and a flexible approach.
• Ability to manage own workload across a range of projects, prioritising key tasks and managing intern

The role

An exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team as a Manager, based in our Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen office.  Our client base and the services we provide are varied, so you've got a great opportunity to help shape how you spend your time.  Key aspects of the role will involve:

• Being responsible for delivery of the corporation tax compliance work on a portfolio of clients and working with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on our larger client accounts
• Being involved in tax advisory projects including advice closely linked to the compliance work such as on controlled foreign companies and the corporate interest restriction, as well as assisting on ad hoc advisory projects
• Being responsible for the delivery of tax accounting work and working with Senior Managers and Directors on tax reporting work
• Ensuring our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business
• Supervising the work of junior members of staff and providing coaching to support their development
• Being responsible for and reporting to Directors and Partners on client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management
• Support the leadership with business development opportunities

The role would involve a mixture of tax compliance, reporting and advisory work and there would be flexibility around the weighting of time to these different components of the role based on your experience and areas of interest.

• Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent
