KPMG’s Strategy Group is looking for exceptional candidates for an Associate Director role, with a background in Manufacturing, Logistics or Supply Chain ideally within the Consumer Goods & Retail sector (other sectors could be considered for exceptional candidates) and ideally with some exposure to Deals (Integrations, Separations and Due Diligence).

Indirect Tax - VAT

KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. Our 20 Partners and approximately 200 professionals provide advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Environmental Taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations.
Within the National Markets Indirect Tax team we have specialists in sectors such as Retail, Supply Chain and International Trade, FS, Public Sector, Leisure and Travel. The majority of the team specialise in VAT but we also have Trade and Customs and Environmental Tax specialists within the team. We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to join our rapidly expanding Corporate Treasury Services team. Our team is a Global Centre of Excellence focused on serving the world's leading Treasury functions with their most complex business challenges. The team offer deep treasury expertise in financial products and markets, risk management, systems and technology, governance, valuation and accounting. We work closely with other high impact functions within KPMG such as Audit, Risk Consulting and Management Consulting to provide a wide range of treasury advisory services.

As a Manager, you will liaise directly with your clients responding to a range of technical queries, drawing both on your own expertise and identifying when additional input is required from more senior colleagues. Your role will also include business development activities, contributing to the team’s growth and success. You will lead teams and supervise the work of junior staff. You will also have performance management responsibilities for a small number of employees.

The Cyber Response & Recovery Manager role will sit within the Cyber Response Services team in KPMG’s Cyber Advisory practice, reporting into the cyber response leadership team. Cyber security is one of the areas KPMG has identified for significant investment and growth. Our clients continue to face increasingly destructive cyber threats, particularly ransomware, destructive malware, business email compromise, Active Directory compromise, cloud compromise and advanced network intrusions. In these situations, clients look to KPMG not only to investigate and contain the incident, but also to help them recover securely, rebuild critical services, reduce the risk of reinfection and improve their long-term resilience.

This is a hands-on cyber response and recovery manager role, focused on supporting clients through the most operationally critical phase of a cyber incident: restoring business services safely and securely. The role will work closely with incident response leads, forensic teams, legal advisers, crisis management teams, technology teams and client executives to convert incident findings into practical remediation, rebuild and recovery actions.
