You would join the leading provider of regulatory, financial, and economic consultancy services in the P&U sector. As a Director of Regulatory Finance, you would play a pivotal role in maintaining this market-leading position and driving further growth. This includes expanding the firm’s presence across core regulated sectors by deepening client relationships, enhancing delivery of existing services, developing new high-impact propositions, and pursuing opportunities in adjacent or new markets. 

Power & Utilities (P&U), led by Dr Matt Firla-Cuchra, counts c85 FTEs is the largest business area of the IAG and encompasses work for major clients in the sector, including all UK utilities as well as some of the largest energy and water companies in Europe and beyond. We provide in-depth strategic and technical advice on strategy and business planning and analysis, corporate finance and corporate financial management, regulatory policy, cost assessment and benchmarking as well as in other areas to help our clients create value for both shareholders and customers. KPMG undertakes client risk assessments (CRA), including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Know Your Client (KYC) as part its process for accepting clients.  

The Client Assessment Team forms a key part of this process and sits within Q&RM (part of KBS), which is led by the Chief Risk Officer.  This team will also have a reporting line into the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).  KPMG’s Q&RM function is responsible for monitoring the firm’s and its individuals’ compliance with the firm’s professional risk management and quality control policies, procedures and guidance.  
The Client Assessment Team has both onshore and offshore delivery components and undertakes thorough client risk assessments (CRA) to help KPMG to appropriately identify, document and assess financial, reputational, money laundering and regulatory risks associated with its clients.  The CRA will include completion of AML KYC in line with the Money Laundering (Transfer of the Payer) Regulations 2017 and associated industry guidance.
