We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our Credit Risk Assurance team. We are a specialist function within KPMG’s Audit Practice whose purpose it is to review and challenge complex statistical models used within audited entities as part of the overall financial audit process. Our team is made up of credit risk analysts from a broad and diverse range of quantitative backgrounds, including mathematics, engineering, physics, econometrics, and statistics.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Audit Director to join our FS Audit team. In the role, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements to a high standard of quality, from planning through to completion. You will be accountable for signing audit opinions on your own portfolio of audited entities and/or working with Partners in the delivery of larger and more complex audits. You will own the relationships with senior stakeholders from audited entities and develop those relationships to facilitate the delivery of audits. You may also have a departmental role, facilitating the internal operations of running the business, for example, roles relating to finance, technology, quality, people etc..

As a Director, you will act as a role model for your teams, facilitating the effective and efficient delivery of audits. You will be responsible for leading teams and supervising the work of staff and providing coaching and developmental support. You will also have performance management responsibilities for a small number of employees.

The Opportunity

KPMG Law wishes to hire a Senior Manager (Senior Solicitor) - with experience in the real estate sector ideally working for private equity, sovereign wealth and/or real estate investment fund clients and owners with repeat activity.
KPMG Law wishes to grow and develop a legal real estate team to take full advantage of the synergies with, and opportunities created by, KPMG’s market leading tax and deal advisory practices.
The Tax practice is worth £80/90 million per annum and KPMG is currently missing out on the opportunity to maximise clients in relation to corporate and transactional real estate work.
The successful candidates will have experience within corporate or transactional Real Estate and may or may not have a portable practice that they will bring with them to KPMG.
The primary focus of the hires will be meaningful deal experience in this space (KPMG is not looking for real estate tax lawyers as part of these hires).
