The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business, currently with 13 partners and

approximately 186 professional staff located across the UK. We work to support our portfolio of clients

with a variety of Indirect tax issues. Within the team we have specialists in sectors such as Retail,

Supply Chain, International Trade, alongside our Public Sector specialisms. We work closely with our

colleagues in Trade & Customs, Corporate and Employment tax to deliver value to KPMG’s clients.

We work as a national practice providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations. The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business, currently with 13 partners and approximately 220 professional staff in the UK.

This Manager role is Financial Services focussed. KPMG has one of the largest Financial Services Indirect Tax departments, advising banking, insurance, investment management, asset backed finance, real estate and private equity clients across a broad range of issues.

The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality of delivery at this specialist level and will be actively involved in managing the performance of junior colleagues within the team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our KPE Audit team. KPE stands for KPMG Private Enterprise therefore audited entities comprise privately owned businesses and private equity backed businesses.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day high-quality delivery of audit engagements from planning through to completion.

Alongside audit delivery work, you will also supervise junior team members, and provide coaching and development to help them reach their full potential. This will include planning and supervising their work to ensure the work quality is to a high standard. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships at audited entities and can expect to work with senior level staff.

You will work closely with the Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director and Partner, ensuring that they are kept up to date with progress, involving them on a timely basis in all phases of the audit and when issues arise.
