The Client Assessment Team Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the team.  The role will have line management responsibility and include working closely with the offshore element of the team.  The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with managing all aspects of the overall workflow.

Indirect Tax - VAT

KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. Our 22 Partners and approximately 200 professionals provide advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Environmental Taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations.

The Role
We are looking for a Manager to join FO&PC team in the North and Scotland region (based in Edinburgh or Glasgow).

This is primarily an advisory role and it entails working with high net worth individuals – both with UK affairs and international tax issues, and also working with entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder owned companies.

More specifically, some of the responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the delivery of a high quality personal tax service to our clients.
• Managing a diverse portfolio of more complex clients and being able to provide personal tax advice on a wide range of assignments including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax matters, and identifying opportunities to advise your portfolio of clients in relation to these taxes.
• Providing original and creative thinking to solve tax problems, frequently leading to providing wholly bespoke tax advice and solutions to one-off assignments.
• Project managing tax advisory assignments to ensure deadlines, risk management and compliance procedures are all met.
• Managing work in progress and ensuring prompt billing and cash collection.
• Overseeing the performance and career development of partly and newly qualified staff.

This role will lead the Talent Deployment – Audit team aligned FS. With a fixed book of work and a complex pattern of regulation and accreditation requirements, it is critical that the Audit Resourcing Senior Manager FS is able to optimise the resourcing within the performance group.  The appropriate allocation of resources to engagements has a significant impact to quality, our financial results and our people experience all of which are key pillars of our strategy.
