 Role Summary 

The KDN Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is responsible for managing the organisation's global legal and regulatory risk. The OGC is expanding by seeking an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer who will deliver practical and business-focused legal advice to our business and corporate services partners and work collaboratively with other KPMG network firms worldwide. This is a sophisticated generalist role, and the successful candidate will support a variety of transactional, corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.

Role Responsibilities

  • Advise on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  • Support strategic transactions including M&A, business set-ups, reorganizations, new service offerings, financings and other transformative initiatives.
  • Manage the legal due diligence process and deliver strategic advice and superior problem solving for complex legal issues.
  • Review and advise on new services and solutions including the KPMG governance process and specialized legal and regulatory issues.
  • Draft and review policies and advise on compliance.
  • Manage external legal counsel in multiple jurisdictions and ensure work is done on a cost-effective and efficient basis.
  • Balance the need to deliver practical and business-focused advice while managing KDN's risk appetite and compliance obligations.
  • Make presentations and write articles on important legal topics.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the KDN OGC and wider KDN team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of matters, including: -

 

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) or an equivalent degree with an active license to practice law in the United Kingdom or Ontario (or in receipt of necessary waivers while seeking qualification on a timely basis).
  • Experienced lawyer with at least 7 years of post-call experience with significant time spent at a major law firm ('Big 4' accounting firm and other relevant in-house experience is desirable as an add-on).

KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions is building a world class Microsoft Dynamics Practice:  The team is focusing on advisory and implementation services that relate to the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP). This will include leading the implementation of these systems and engagements relating to Independent Programme Assurance where third parties are delivering such programmes. 

The Senior Solution Architect role is required to lead the technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centred solutions on large complex programmes or a portfolio, drive deep technical expertise within DevOps and functional leadership within the practice to deliver quality, client-centric solutions. Provides deep industry expertise to build and cultivate strong business relationships at a senior level. The role will champion innovation both within the firm and with clients, sharing Thought Leadership within the practice across the relevant Industry specialism. Collaborating with the Global team to enhance the out of the box Dynamics functionality, giving KPMG a unique selling point and also a resalable asset. Takes a leading role in identifying development needs of team members and provides coaching, mentoring or stretch assignments to support individuals achieve their full potential as well as promoting collaboration across team.

 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Leads customer delivery of our Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centred solutions on large, complex programmes or portfolios, through the management of a team of professionals and possibly with the contribution of cross-functional/team specialists

The Role

 

As an Assistant, you will be involved in all aspects of delivering audit engagements, from planning through to completion on a broad spectrum of B2B, B2C and G&I As engagements. The KPMG financial services corporate tax team is a fast growing part of the KPMG tax practice. We are looking for excellent candidates who are seeking a dynamic and challenging working environment within a strong supportive leadership team. 

The role is in our Core Asset Management tax team, with a particular focus on our Private Equity Funds client base. 

 

Our team has a diverse client and target base spanning the Financial Services sector - providing services to traditional asset managers and financial services institutions, private equity funds, alternative investors, the real estate sector, wealth and hedge asset managers, UK pension funds and global institutional investors.
