The Technology in M&A team at KPMG is a growing and dynamic team. We deal with all aspects of the technology function, from strategy, cloud, digital, technology spend, etc. We work with both acquirers and vendors on pre- and post-deal technology issues.

KPMG’s Strategy & Performance Transformation practice is looking for exceptional candidates for a Manager role, with a Financial Services focus (ideally Banking or Insurance) and experience of at least one of our core propositions; Growth Strategy, Deal Strategy, Cost and Operational strategy and Enterprise-wide Transformation.

Powered Enterprise is KPMG’s world-class accelerated Enterprise Business Transformation approach for cloud-based solutions driven by a pre-defined back-office function based on leading practices and KPMG’s six-layer Target Operating Model. The target operating model comprises of service delivery model, people, process, technology, data & insight and governance & controls. This solution combines the breadth and scale of KPMG’s leading practice, capabilities and insight into what makes a world class corporate services function with the latest in ERP technology provided by the leading SaaS ERP vendors such as Workday.

The Powered Connected Technology team is a community of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver SaaS ERP based transformation programmes based on KPMG Powered Enterprise. The team use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. Oracle, Workday, Coupa, SAP) to lead and deliver client programmes, to support pre-sales activities and to develop improvement and extensions to the Powered Enterprise model. KPMG are growing their Powered Connected Technology team to meet an ever-increasing demand for our market leading services and are seeking technology management consultants with relevant expertise and experience.

Functional skills

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• An understanding of the key business issues/drivers that result in clients pursuing Finance transformation programmes (e.g. cost reduction, insight led improvement etc.).
• Experience of multiple industry sectors (e.g. Media, Services, Retail, Banking, Insurance, Local and Central Government etc.).
• Strong influencing skills, with the ability to land key decisions with senior leaders and key business stakeholders.
• Experience of multiple Workday Finance ERP implementation project lifecycles, from presales, scoping and planning through to post go live support, as a Solution Architect.
• Detailed knowledge of Workday Finance enabled end-to-end business process across Finance and Procurement.
• A background in designing and delivering end-to-end business processes across multiple functional areas including Invoice to Cash (Receivables, Collection and Cash Management), Record to Report (General Ledger including Intercompany), Procure to Pay (Sourcing, Procurement, Payables and Payments), Acquire to Retire (Fixed Assets), Project to Result (Project Management and Project Accounting – Costing and Billing), within Workday Finance.
• Broad knowledge of other Workday product sets like HR and Payroll solutions
• An understanding of the functional, application and technical architectural elements of an Workday Finance programme.
• Experience of operating and implementing in a cloud environment and understanding the impacts of implementing and operating on the cloud versus on premise.
• Understanding of an Workday Finance delivery lifecycle using Workday’s methodology or equivalent delivery method.
• Experience of managing a team of 10+ colleag

IAG is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading independent financial and business advisers in infrastructure consisting of over 380 professionals.

 

Our team leads exciting projects across both public and private sectors principally focused on major capital and infrastructure portfolios in Transport, Energy, Water, Defence, Oil and Gas and Health. This is a fast-growing area offering many opportunities building upon a global capability in Asset Management where we provide:

• Asset Strategy and Transformation, including operating model design and transformation of asset management functions.
• Asset Performance including investment planning, efficiency improvements in capital and operating expenditure, as well as asset resilience and benchmarking.
• Digital asset management including asset performance and financial modelling and smart technology.
• Investor assurance of asset performance and transaction due diligence support.
