The Infrastructure team consists of c400 professionals and is widely recognised as a leading independent business, financial and regulatory advisers in the infrastructure space.We provide in-depth advice on strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure across Transport, Power & Utilities, and Social Infrastructure in the UK and globally. Our work includes market and policy design, economic and regulatory analysis, deal structuring and execution, as well as strategic and transaction advice to enable private and public capital to fund infrastructure. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, tax, accounting, and due diligence.

Power & Utilities (P&U) is one of the largest business areas of the Infratstructure team  and encompasses work for large clients in the sector, including all energy and water companies in the UK as well as some of the largest utilities in Europe and beyond. We provide in-depth strategic and technical advice on corporate finance and corporate financial management, regulatory finance, regulatory policy, business and financial planning, cost assessment and benchmarking as well as in other areas directly affecting value. Our work combines elements of policy, finance, strategy and economics to assist our clients in structuring investments, securing financing, supporting regulatory regimes and maximising shareholder value. • Extensive experience in prominent languages such as Python, Scala, Spark, SQL.
• Experience working with any database technologies from an application programming perspective - Oracle, MySQL, Mongo DB etc.
• Experience with the design, build and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure
• Robust understanding of design practices and system architecture and with a focus on data security
• Extensive experience of defining code review standards to drive quality
• Excellent problem solving skills with experience of troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
• Experience working with cloud platforms and in particular architecting with native cloud resources relevant to data problems
• Extensive experience driving and leading Agile methodologies (Scrum, pair-programming etc)
• Have the ability to work in a cross functional team of Business Analysts and demonstrating an excellent understanding of business requirements.

We are looking for a Global Mobility Services (GMS) Manager to work in our People Taxes team across large Financial Services clients.  

Core Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day global coordination and/or UK service delivery of client engagements (dependent on the client portfolio), supported by a junior engagement team.
• Manage the UK tax compliance and work closely with the KPMG Centre of Excellence to deliver on all aspects of assignee compliance.
• Be involved in all aspects of cross border advisory - covering tax, social security, process, policy and efficiencies, and project manage advisory projects carried out for clients. Closely collaborate with subject matter experts within International Social Security, Employment Tax, GMS Technology, Reward, Immigration and the network of KPMG Member Firms to deliver on cross-border and multidisciplinary projects.
• Provide UK tax technical analysis and advice to clients.
• Engage with clients on current global mobility and UK tax developments.
• Support Engagement Leaders with VIP assignee services, including carrying out arrival/departure briefings for senior assignees.
• Develop, maintain and lead strong client relationships.
• Manage engagement finances with junior support.
• Manage and coach junior staff.
