Overview

This exciting role is within our Corporate Tax Team based in the South region, with a choice of base office in either Bristol or Cardiff. You’ll join a high performing team advising on a broad range of clients from privately owned businesses to some of the region’s largest and most complex organisations.

We are looking for a talented individual at Assistant Manager level to support our continued rapid growth. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and challenging working environment, supported by a strong and ambitious leadership team.

You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across UK listed, PE backed, inbound and family owned groups, and take on a variety of projects, including tax structuring, international expansion, operating model redesign, tax compliance and tax accounting.

The role will suit an Assistant Manager wanting to drive their tax career.

Role and Responsibilities: 

Working as a key member of the team to provide corporate tax advice to a broad range of clients helping them to achieve their commercial objectives. 

  • Supporting the successful delivery of technically excellent advice including: tax structuring, compliance, governance, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre/post transaction reorganisations, tax authority enquiries and providing technical support to the wider corporate tax team.
  • Liaising with specialists in other departments and overseas offices to oversee their input into tax advisory projects.
  • Coaching and developing more junior members of the team.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and understanding of their business in order to create opportunities to help with the provision of tax and other services
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals for new work, including preparing tender documents and presenting at client pitches
  • Supporting Directors and Partners in business development activities
  • Being a role model for KPMG’s values

Qualifications, Experience and Skills: 

  • ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualified with strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge 
  • Ability to develop, coach and mentor staff, as well as manage stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required in addition to strong oral and written communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
  • Pro-active in identifying and progressing business opportunities for the long-term benefit of both KPMG and the client
  • Ability to multi-task – to manage a wide range of projects and relationships

D365 Lead Finance Functional Consultant

The Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) business unit at KPMG are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO) Lead Consultant with knowledge in all phases of large-scale enterprise D365FO projects with a hands-on approach and proven experience in end-to-end implementations, along with interfacing and integration of Dynamics products. Consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients, managing onshore consultants while also working with both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around D365FO and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development while mentoring more junior staff.

  • Leading the Finance, SCM and/or Retail workstreams of full end-to-end D365 implementations through all phases of the project lifecycle
