Why Join KPMG as a Tech Risk Assistant Manager - SAP Controls? Technology Risk Consulting (TRC) is a fast growing department that currently consists of about 200+ professionals across different sectors of which roughly half are based in our Canary Wharf office in Canada Square in London. We have a mix of Sector, FS and IGH clients like BP, Booking.com, HSBC, LSEG, HMRC and NHS. Our engagements often take place in an international context which requires us to provide services across the globe, often in close cooperation with other KPMG offices.

Our services are of both an assurance and transformation in nature and include:

• General IT and ERP controls, design and implementation of GRC operating models and solutions, IT Security and Risk Management, control automation, design and implementation of SOX 404 control framework, design and implementation of controls for S/4 HANA programmes and Independent Project Assurance.

Within this team a key objective is to grow our capability and size of our SAP offerings into the market, as part of a wider strategic plan to grow our ERP & Business Systems team. The services we provide include External and Internal Assurance, Controls Transformation, Process Optimisation and GRC implementations. This work is delivered through stand-alone assignments, or as part of internal audit engagements.

Typical activities include:

• Responsibility for quality, value add and timely delivery of the overall output from client engagements.
• Scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables.
• Building and managing excellent client relationships.
• Actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal writing and assisting with client presentations.
• Coaching and developing team members on engagements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide consulting and advisory services to clients that operate SAP systems including SAP GRC Access Controls and Process Controls.
• Help clients enhance their SAP controls capability and increase control automation.
• Work stream lead / SME on SAP / GRC control and/or Data Analytics engagements.
• Building and managing excellent client relationships across a range of clients.
• Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, but in particular in the wider Advisory areas.
• Contributing to practice management, e.g. innovation, training, knowledge management.
• A good understanding of SAP and SAP GRC technology platforms.
• Ability to identify and assess complex SAP risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly t

You will join a cross-functional ESP leadership team led by the Head of Education, Skills and Productivity and supported by a sales executive and a BDM focused on central government, and working alongside a talented team of partners and directors who face into the wider education market.

The role is to lead the translation of the national ESP market strategy into national and regional growth plans and in doing so ensure the plans reflect local client issues and the local impact of national public sector policy.

The role is within KPMG UK’s Internal Partnership Tax Team who are responsible for 
dealing with all tax matters relating to KPMG ‘UK’. This role specifically involves reviewing 
and advising on overseas tax and reporting requirements when KPMG ‘UK’ colleagues 
travel/work overseas for business or are authorized to work overseas for personal reasons. 
Responsibilities 

KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. We work as a national practice providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations. The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business, currently with 13 partners and approximately 220 professional staff in the UK.

This Manager role is Financial Services focussed. KPMG has one of the largest Financial Services Indirect Tax departments, advising banking, insurance, investment management, asset backed finance, real estate and private equity clients across a broad range of issues.

The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality of delivery at this specialist level and will be actively involved in managing the performance of junior colleagues within the team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our KPE Audit team. KPE stands for KPMG Private Enterprise therefore audited entities comprise privately owned businesses and private equity backed businesses.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day high-quality delivery of audit engagements from planning through to completion.

Alongside audit delivery work, you will also supervise junior team members, and provide coaching and development to help them reach their full potential. This will include planning and supervising their work to ensure the work quality is to a high standard. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships at audited entities and can expect to work with senior level staff.

You will work closely with the Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director and Partner, ensuring that they are kept up to date with progress, involving them on a timely basis in all phases of the audit and when issues arise.
