• Journey planning and risk management, aiming for self-sufficiency or buy out, and endgame options including use of surplus

• Funding advice to sponsors and advice on compliance with DB funding code

• Advice on contingent funding options and work on special purpose vehicles

• Pensions due diligence on mergers and acquisitions

• Provision of member education and communication

• Advice on benefit change, benefit design and implementation

• Advice on good governance and compliance

The Security Operations Centre - Assistant Manager role will provide the pivotal function of planning, designing, building and sustaining SOC and Next-Generation SOC services, operating within the uppermost levels of Government. You will work as part of an elite team of specialists, advising government and industry clients on their largest, most complex, and highest profile strategic issues.

The IOGC is divided into three sub teams. This role will sit within the IOGC Corporate and Commercial sub team which provides legal advice on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. We are now looking for talented and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Defined Contribution pensions team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality pensions advice in relation to DC pension schemes with a focus on the private sector but also schemes in the public sector.

You will be responsible for will work closely with the senior members of the team in this service line, which will involve:

• Scheme strategy and structure across workplace pensions
• Member engagement and education
• Investment policy
• Governance, including setting up governance committees
• Wider benefit and reward strategy
• Financial coaching and well-being
• Statutory auto-enrolment compliance and implementation
• Compliance

You will have responsibility for maintaining the day-to-day relationships with clients and ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.

You will have responsibility for supervising junior team members, providing coaching and developmental support to assist them in the delivery of engagements.
