Our multi-capability group delivers a broad spectrum of corporate advisory work, serving regional and large corporate clients across the UK.  This powerful combination enables us to deliver a bespoke, solutions-led approach to help companies preserve value and navigate back to a path of sustainable growth. 

We are looking for a Global Mobility Services Tax Senior Manager to join us in Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh), the North (Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle), the Midlands (Birmingham) or the South (Reading and Bristol). The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a confident, outward-facing skillset, and who is willing to invest time and energy in the marketplace.

Summary of Role

The SAP CDL is accountable for the quality of delivery of all SAP engagements, both functional and technical, through a matrixed team of Engagement Leaders and Engagement Managers. The CDL enables the growth of our SAP business by validating dealboard submissions, driving resourcing (on, near and offshore), embedding scalable and repeatable methods, incorporating lessons learned to improve delivery, and providing delivery assurance to SAP engagements.

• Provide constructive challenge through the Deal Board and Solution Review processes with strong focus on delivery risk, client obligations, fixed price contingency level and risks that could erode EP and impact delivery success
• Identify and initiate new opportunities from existing SAP engagements
• EQCR for complex SAP deliveries – opportunity through to engagement

Capability Build  

Resourcing

• Grow team of SAP Engagement Leaders and Engagement Managers to ensure strength in delivery management
• Approve EL and EM accreditation requests for SAP service lines
• Maintain tight visibility of pipeline to ensure to resourcing budgets and targets are aligned and agreed for each year
• Manage timely resource planning and recruitment of functional and technical resources for all SAP engagements across all locations – on, near and offshore along with global reach to other KPMG locations and third parties
• Ensure engagement team make up contains the right skills experience and diversity

• Extensive experience in prominent languages such as Python, Scala, Spark, SQL.
• Experience working with any database technologies from an application programming perspective - Oracle, MySQL, Mongo DB etc.
• Experience with the design, build and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure
• Robust understanding of design practices and system architecture and with a focus on data security
• Extensive experience of defining code review standards to drive quality
• Excellent problem solving skills with experience of troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
• Experience working with cloud platforms and in particular architecting with native cloud resources relevant to data problems
• Extensive experience driving and leading Agile methodologies (Scrum, pair-programming etc)
• Have the ability to work in a cross functional team of Business Analysts and demonstrating an excellent understanding of business requirements.
• Strong communication skills along with ability to lead a team towards a great product/service and articulate technical strategies to non-technical audiences including clients at all levels including C-suite

Some of our projects include Hydrogen Transport Business Model, Hinkley Point C, potential investor in Sizewell C, Thames Tideway Tunnel (TTT), multiple Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) and Special Infrastructure Projects Regime (SIPR) projects, Offshore Transmission Owners (OFTO), Cap and Floor Interconnectors, Competitively Appointed Transmission Owners (CATOs), new nuclear projects (NNPs) and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). Our clients are typically based in the UK and across Europe.
