MS Dynamics Solution Architect     
 

Role Purpose
KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions is building a world class Microsoft Dynamics Practice:  The team is focusing on advisory and implementation services that relate to the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP). This will include leading the implementation of these systems and engagements relating to Independent Programme Assurance where third parties are delivering such programmes. 

The Solution Architect role is required to lead the technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centred solutions on large complex programmes or a portfolio, drive deep technical expertise within DevOps and functional leadership within the practice to deliver quality, client-centric solutions. Provides deep industry expertise to build and cultivate strong business relationships at a senior level. The role will champion innovation both within the firm and with clients, sharing Thought Leadership within the practice across the relevant Industry specialism. Collaborating with the Global team to enhance the out of the box Dynamics functionality, giving KPMG a unique selling point and also a resalable asset. Takes a leading role in identifying development needs of team members and provides coaching, mentoring or stretch assignments to support individuals achieve their full potential as well as promoting collaboration across team.
    
Role Responsibilities    

• Leads customer delivery of our Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centred solutions on large, complex programmes or portfolios, through the management of a team of professionals and possibly with the contribution of cross-functional/team specialists
• Effectively manages commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement to achieve expected levels of quality and profitability
• Executes projects to a level that meet member firm’s quality standards within a commercial context.
• Manages scope and delivers timely and quality deliverables
• Provides inputs/takes a lead in the creation of innovative and repeatable solutions that strengthen business performance and differentiate KPMG from our competition.
• Responsible for ensuring our pre-sales engagements are delivered with the same rigour and attention to detail as our client engagements.  
• Identify business/project risk and mitigates as necessary, does not undertake work that does not fit with firm capabilities or Risk Management criteria
• Deliver all consultancy according to the MBS and/or KPMG Methodology, ensuring that all software applications are implemented successfully according to the project plan
• Holds review on completion of projects to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and commercial planning
• Works on CPD to maintain Microsoft accreditation status and keeping up to date with technical developments. 
• Role models Firm values and behaviours, actively promoting and supporting inclusive collaboration within the Practice
• Demonstrates the ability to drive change through motivating and influencing team members.
• Knowledge & Skills (including Qualifications)
• Deep technical expertise in DevOps and broad working knowledge of technical and functional capabilities of Dynamics CRM including appropriate certification is essential (CRM Online 2013, 2015, 2016 or 365).
• Strong technical architecture experience is essential especially around integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM with other solutions such as other Microsoft products and third party or legacy systems.
• Extensive experience of leading the end to end delivery of multiple complex CRM solutions including systems integration and using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Proven experience in CRM Configuration, Customisation, standard workflows, dashboards, forms, views and standard

KPMG's Governance, Risk and Compliance Services (GRCS) practice within Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) is an area of the firm with tremendous growth potential as proven by recent significant wins. It provides services relating to internal audit, internal control, corporate governance, risk management and related assurance projects to our clients based in the public sector. Our services deliver added value to clients through the use of modern control assessment, risk management and internal audit techniques focusing on strategic, management and operational issues as well as financial management and reporting controls. We also work closely with other advisory teams including our colleagues in Technology Risk and Cyber Risk to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice and assurance. You’ll form part of a 20-strong team based out of the Manchester office, principally servicing our client base in the North whilst also being involved with work with our wider national team.

The Role 
As an Assistant Manager in GRCS there will be opportunities to work on a variety of engagements for our clients covering the spectrum of services that we provide including:  

• Assurance mapping
• Creating annual audit plans for clients
• Providing internal audit services on both outsourced and co-sourced contractual basis
• Managing and directly delivering a programme of internal audit projects which includes planning, review, quality assurance and reporting
• Working with a client’s in-house internal audit function for co-source engagements to supply specialist or additional resource needed
• Process improvement projects
• Risk management, governance and internal audit advisory services
• Risk identification workshops and control reviews
• Delivering control and risk training
• Managing and reviewing internal control questionnaires
• Corporate governance reviews
• Contract compliance audits
• Assessing effectiveness of internal audit functions, audit committees and boards
• Working with members of other KPMG advisory teams 
• Business development

Responsibilities 

• Assisting with the management of a North of England and UK-wide portfolio of clients, maintaining relationships with senior KPMG and client staff and being responsible for the financial performance and delivery of these accounts
• Demonstrating a detailed understanding of how current and emerging legal, regulatory, governance, risk management, auditing, accounting and financial reporting standards affect their clients
• Understanding and assisting managers to undertake KPMG's internal risk management and client engagement management procedures including client acceptance, continuance and engagement procedures
• Keeping up to date with all industry specific issues and circumstances which affect your clients
• Developing internal audit strategies which address all internal audit, client service and project management issues, in accordance with the KPMG internal audit methodology
• Delivering against those audit strategies
• Recognising where specialists are required and involving other KPMG staff, managing their input to the client
• Reviewing the audit evidence obtained ensuring it is sufficient in line with International Internal Audit (IIA) and PSIAS (Public Sector Internal Audit) Standards and KPMG methodology
• Conducting meetings with clients to explain audit findings and drafting and reviewing reports
• Reporting to managers/senior managers and partners/directors all salient points arising from assignments
• Assisting with the  production of quarterly Audit Committee papers
• Assisting with the setting of budgets for engagements and monitoring delivery against the budget

The KPMG UK Fintech team is a significant and growing business looking after more than 140 clients. The Fintech team incorporates KPMG’s digital assets business where the firm supports a growing number of UK and International crypto businesses.  Indirect tax is a significant proportion of this Fintech business, and we are looking for an experienced VAT Senior Manager to work alongside the VAT partner who not only leads the Fintech VAT practice, but also leads the wider KPMG Fintech team across the UK.
