Cloud Monitoring and Compliance engineer provides visibility into the security and compliance across the entire cloud native technology stack within KPMG. The position will require in-depth working knowledge of securing cloud environments following industry standards and best practices. Responsibility includes installation, management, maintenance and support of GSOC tools hosted on Windows platform in DataCentre, Azure and O365. KPMG’s FS Corporate Tax team has an immediate need for an Assistant Manager to support delivery of a range of engagements across corporate tax advisory, tax advisory, and tax audit assist. The KPMG FS Corporate Tax Team has a strong market reputation working with leading Global and UK bank and insurers on a range of tax services.   

 

The team will invest in the right candidate to enable quick upskilling on industry tax technical and commercial matters.  There is a strong pipeline of project and advisory work. 

 

What will you be doing?

 

Delivery of a range of engagements across tax advisory including M&A, tax advice including Pillar 2, tax audit, and compliance 

 

What will you need to do it?

  • Corporate tax background, ideally some experience in tax audit

The Role:

 

The Project Manager runs projects of any size in an efficient and effective manner, and is responsible for their delivery within agreed timescales, budgets and conformance to agreed requirements. This person is also responsible for the efficient utilization of assigned staff and any associated third parties and for ensuring that all project activities conform to the company’s quality management standards and processes.

 

Responsabilities: 

  • Plans and manages assigned projects, keeping customer and senior management informed about project progress;
  • Compiles and agrees the project plan with the client.
  • Compiles and agrees with the client any Statements of Work in line with contractual arrangements with the client.
  • Monitors progress against project plan and budget, correcting and / or escalating abnormal situations Maintains the Project Plan, in particular with forecast completion dates and impact analysis;
  • Tracks actual costs vs plan (using Microsoft project and our internal Dynamics AX time recording system);
  • Maintains awareness of all ongoing non-trivial problems towards their solution. Ensures that project objectives are met;
  • Monitors and controls all individuals allocated to the project ensuring that all project activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate standards. This includes ensuring that activities are planned and executed in line with the KPMG Microsoft Business Solution project delivery methodology;
