The Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) at KPMG UK (ca. 400 FTEs) provide in-depth advice on strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure across Power & Utilities, Transport, Social Infrastructure, Government, Major Projects, in the UK and Europe. Our work includes market and policy design, economic and regulatory analysis, deal structuring and execution, as well as strategic and transaction advice to enable private and public capital to fund infrastructure. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on due diligence, transactions and valuations.

Power & Utilities (P&U), led by Dr Matt Firla-Cuchra, counts c85 FTEs is the largest business area of IAG and encompasses work for major clients in the sector, including all UK utilities as well as some of the largest energy and water companies in Europe and beyond. We provide in-depth strategy, market, regulatory, cost assessment, corporate finance, transaction and energy transition advice to players and investors in the utilities sector. Our work combines elements of policy, finance, strategy and economics to assist our clients in structuring investments, securing financing, supporting regulatory regimes for the benefit of customers as well as maximising shareholder value. We are widely recognised by many industry stakeholders as market leaders influencing the future of the utilities sector.

Powered Enterprise is KPMG’s world-class accelerated Enterprise Business Transformation approach for cloud-based solutions driven by a pre-defined back-office function based on leading practices and KPMG’s six-layer Target Operating Model. The target operating model comprises of service delivery model, people, process, technology, data & insight and governance & controls. The Powered Connected Technology team is a community of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver SaaS ERP based transformation programmes based on KPMG Powered Enterprise. The team use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. Oracle, Workday, Coupa, SAP) to lead and deliver client programmes, to support pre-sales activities and to develop improvement and extensions to the Powered Enterprise model. KPMG are growing their Powered Connected Technology team to meet an ever-increasing demand for our market leading services and are seeking technology management consultants with relevant expertise and experience.

Functional skills

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• An understanding of the key business issues/drivers that result in clients pursuing Finance transformation programmes (e.g. cost reduction, insight led improvement etc.).
• Experience of multiple industry sectors (e.g. Media, Services, Retail, Banking, Insurance, Local and Central Government etc.).
• Strong influencing skills, with the ability to land key decisions with senior leaders and key business stakeholders.
• Experience of multiple Workday Finance ERP implementation project lifecycles, from presales, scoping and planning through to post go live support, as a Solution Architect.
• Detailed knowledge of Workday Finance enabled end-to-end business process across Finance and Procurement.
• A background in designing and delivering end-to-end business processes across multiple functional areas including Invoice to Cash (Receivables, Collection and Cash Management), Record to Report (General Ledger including Intercompany), Procure to Pay (Sourcing, Procurement, Payables and Payments), Acquire to Retire (Fixed Assets), Project to Result (Project Management and Project Accounting – Costing and Billing), within Workday Finance.
• Broad knowledge of other Workday product sets like HR and Payroll solutions
• An understanding of the functional, application and technical architectural elements of an Workday Finance programme.
• Experience of operating and implementing in a cloud environment and understanding the impacts of implementing and operating on the cloud versus on premise.
• Understanding of an Workday Finance delivery lifecycle using Workday’s methodology or equivalent delivery method.
• Experience of managing a team of 10+ colleag

The Role

• Communicating compelling and well thought out solutions for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) in response to complex client problems.
• Supporting business development and project delivery activities across clients from multiple industries.
• System design and delivery, including release management, integration management, data migration strategy and management.
• Defining an overall Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution leveraging leading practice solutions to support the business requirements.

The SAP Sectors Consulting team are technology-focused professionals who deliver KPMG Powered Enterprise through a standardised delivery model. This role combines: Deep Order to Cash / Quote to Cash functional expertise, End-to-end customer fulfilment and revenue process ownership and S/4HANA solution design across Sales, Distribution and Finance integration. You will lead large-scale S/4HANA transformations, shaping customer fulfilment and revenue management processes, and driving adoption of fit-to-standard, scalable solutions aligned to SAP best practices.
