Tax Transformation ERP – Manager

We are looking for talented Managers to join us in Canada Square, London (although flexibility on location will be considered) with experience in a broad range of areas including:

Tax transformation experience – the ability to analyse tax requirements, design tax processes and implement tax technology solutions
Strong and practical ERP finance and tax experience, specifically in SAP S4 HANA, Oracle or Workday, as a foundation for tax processes
Experience of design and configuration of ERP systems for tax purposes
Experience of implementing VAT determination engines and bolt-ons, such as Vertex O-Series, Thomson Reuters OneSource Determination, or Meridian VAT Add-On
Tax technology implementation experience, including requirements gathering from a tax, IT and users and creating and reviewing design documentation
Tax process knowledge, for example indirect tax, direct tax and/or transfer pricing
Familiarity with end-to-end finance processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record-to-report) and their integration with tax
Advising on appropriate tax technology to support compliance and reporting processes
Project management
Client and engagement management

Roles & Responsibilities:

Project managing the overall delivery of global and large tax transformation and technology projects, often as part of a wider finance transformation program
Helping clients to design, build and deploy ERP and tax automation solutions which are designed for Tax
Supporting our clients understand the importance of Tax, the optimal way to address tax requirements in their countries and the value that it can bring
Working together with our other Tax Transformation colleagues as well as other groups in KPMG such as Consulting
Helping clients develop robust global governance and process frameworks
Develop our service offerings and service delivery models
Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships with both existing and new clients
Line manage assistant managers and graduate trainees and overseeing output of offshore resource in order to deliver client projects;
Identify opportunities to identify additional services that the client may need and liaise with subject specialists.
Coaching and technical support for other team members.
Follow KPMG best practice and policy.

The Role

Lead the design and delivery of a Supply Chain workstream on a large SAP S/4HANA project
Use Business skills along with knowledge of SAP Supply Chain workstream to design and implement complex solutions for customers and between other workstreams
Understand client supply chain requirements and integration points with other functional areas, to optimise the processes and maximise the benefits of SAP
Design and implement process improvements by going through the project cycle (design, build, test, training, go-live, post go-live support)
Advise on technical integration of the SAP application with other customer and 3rd party tools/applications within Supply Chain
Lead and Support business development and sales initiatives including bid and proposal support/presenting with our SAP clients
Monitor SAP and Industry trends including awareness of SAP Roadmap and enhancements

The Person

Strong functional understanding of SAP S/4 HANA Supply Chain process area and how they integrate with other business functions
Advise on technical integrations of SAP applications with other client and 3rd party tools/applications in the Supply Chain process area
SAP system design, build and deployment experience – 4 full lifecycle implementations preferred
Experience of SAP in Manufacturing industries, Consumer Packaging Goods, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas, or Retail
Experience of facilitating a design workshop and then translating the requirements into design
Ability to build strong client relationships based on subject matter expertise and quality of delivery
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues, and synthesize large volume of information

Role Overview:

KPMG UK is seeking a Senior MDM Architecture to join our CDO Advisory Practice within Technology & Data, specializing in developing and implementing architecture at enterprise scale. In this role, you will lead the architectural aspects of impactful MDM projects in our largest clients from strategy through to implementation utilising our technology alliance partners and global delivery hubs as appropriate. You will bring your continually building technical knowledge to our go-to-market propositions in this area.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead MDM Architecture projects and workstreams
- Lead on MDM architecture projects from design to implementation across our clients
- Provide MDM thought leadership to client stakeholders, advising on MDM architecture and tooling strategies that support their digital transformation strategies
- Be the technical expert in the room, advising clients on MDM deployment and tooling strategies.
Technical Leadership and Collaboration
- Establish the tools and accelerators that make our approach to the delivery of MDM projects efficient and innovative.
- Establish the KPMG MDM architecture blueprint. Work with our technology Alliance partners to establish a technology overlay to this.
- Establish a collaborative relationship with other KPMG member firms where MDM capability is prevalent. Work to align our MDM architecture propositions and offerings.
Business Development & Practise Building
- Contribute to RFP responses where MDM architecture is a component part, bringing the best of KPMG to answer the client challenge.
