The Global Decarbonization Hub Green Finance Senior Manager will be a dedicated expert supporting a consolidated global approach around Green Finance.

 

They will be responsible for driving KPMG’s propositions within the Green Finance agenda, supporting our Member Firms (MFs) to sell services to their most important clients. The expert will also define the go to market strategy, helping to globalise KPMG’s offerings across the Green Finance agenda, collaborating with our global network and building KPMG’s reputation as a Green Finance services leader.

 

The ideal candidate will understand the Green Finance market and have experience working in a climate-related field coupled with advisory and business development experience. They will be commercially minded, with an ability to complete a wide variety of tasks to a high standard.

A key focus for KPMG’s GCT team is to help multinational groups and financial services clients manage their global tax compliance, reporting and statutory accounting obligations, through outsourcing, co-sourcing, transformation and technology. Our Corporate Tax Compliance business is made up of a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Corporate Tax Compliance specialists working with our cutting-edge technology platform and our advisory teams to provide a first-class service to our diverse client base which includes global and large domestic compliance clients with complex and interesting tax profiles. We are now looking for talented Managers. The successful candidate will have good UK Corporate Tax Compliance experience, be able to build strong relationships, develop junior staff and provide excellent client service.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

• Manage a portfolio of clients and take responsibility for ensuring the tax computations are prepared to a high standard, on a timely basis and finalised and submitted to HMRC within agreed deadlines.
• Ensuring that clients are kept up to date on developments within Corporate Tax that may affect their businesses, including the implications of new legislation.
• Oversee the work of junior colleagues, providing coaching and technical guidance as part of the overall review process.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues and opportunities, reviewing technical analysis and involving specialists as appropriate.
• Respond to client requests for ad hoc technical advice and working with KPMG specialist teams to deliver an excellent and co-ordinated service to the client.
• Build and develop positive constructive relationships within your team, across KPMG and your client base.
• Opportunities to support clients with their group reporting needs and support with tax audit work.
• Manage aspects of the team’s operations and performance including coaching, career management and technical support for other team members.
• Follow KPMG best practice and policy.
• Build the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

• Strong UK Corporation Tax experience including reviewing computations and returns and acting as a client liaison through the compliance process.
• Knowledge of tax accounting (FRS 102. IFRS desirable but not essential).
• Ability to analyse problems, identify core issues and demonstrate curiosity around new ideas approaches and perspectives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Take personal responsibility and accountability for own work.
• Sustain a high level of drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the team.
• Excellent teamwork and organisational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgets.
